Responsible for all aspects of the donor center in the absence of the Assistant Manager and/or Director of Center OperationsEnsures compliance with all federal, state, local, and company-specific rules, regulations, and practices related to the quality and safety of products, donors, and employeesProvide clear instructions, conduct meetings, and communicate performance expectationsParticipate with management in conducting performance appraisals, providing performance feedback. With management review, document verbal and written coaching level corrective actions as needed. Assist in maintaining up-to-date employee training files, checklists, and assist with performance evaluations and certification statusDevelop and implement active donor recruitment advertising campaigns to improve production levelsManage and develop talent within the donor center. Participate in the selection process of new staff for the donor centerWork collaboratively with staff, peers, and management to achieve business goals. Communicate continuously and resolve conflicts proactivelyLearn and maintain thorough familiarity and compliance with all state and federal regulations, Standard Operating Procedure Manual, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Current Good Manufacturing Practice (cGMP), and internal Company ProceduresThorough knowledge of applicable Company and departmental policies, and regulated procedures as well as the willingness to learn and follow any policy or procedure that may be introduced in the futureMaintain a positive and professional demeanor during all interactions with donors, fellow employees, and vendorsRegular attendance and arriving on time to all scheduled shifts and mandatory meetingsMaintain confidentiality of personnel, donor, and center informationActively participate in root cause analysis, deviation management, and process improvementPerform donor counseling and report to local and state agencies as applicableInitiate and assist in donor investigations regarding Post Donation InformationAssist with the annual re-certification process for non-trainersWill be cross-trained in all technical areas and other functions to meet the needs of the businessOther duties as assignedPosition QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of two (2) years of relevant work experience including one (1) year experience in a supervisory position, preferably in a regulated industry; or an Associate’s Degree in Science or Business ManagementStrong verbal and written communication skillsMust have above average problem-solving and decision-making abilitiesProficiency with computersMust have explicit attention to detailMust have excellent analytical skills, organization skills, and follow-upAbility to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure and technical manualsAbility to interpret a wide variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variablesUse hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk or hearFrequent leaning, bending, stooping, crouching, and reaching above the shoulders and below the kneeManual dexterity to perform all phases of donor plasmapheresisAbility to make and analyze a physical assessment of heart, lung sounds, signs of drug use, etc.Ability to stand for extended periods of time for up to four (4) hours at a timeAbility to lift, tug, pull up to fifty (50) poundsTypical work environment with moderate noise levelMay be exposed to freezing temperatures for short periods of timeOccupational exposure to Bloodborne pathogensToday, LFB is among the leading European bio-pharmaceutical companies providing mainly hospital-based healthcare professionals with plasma-derived or recombinant medicinal products in three major therapeutic areas: immunology, haemostasis, and intensive care.Life of patients is our purpose!
