$41,628General Responsibilities:To provide full-performance administrative support work for the development office and the foundation, by ensuring the overall organization and efficiency in these areas. Work is subject to general supervision and is reviewed for technical correctness and compatibility with area policies.Work Performed:Responsible for administrative support for the development office and its directors.With input from the directors creates board materials; attends meetings; records and produces official meeting minutes for the foundation board and any other assigned committees (as needed); and posts on the portal.Schedules appointments for the executive director, director of resource development with board members and donors. Provides the executive director with necessary meeting materials and post meeting follow up for meetings.Assists in researching and providing executive director and director of resource development with essential data related to identified organizations and individuals.Coordinates the workflow for the foundation, which may include planning, delegating, and reviewing the work of other clerical employees and/or student workers.Assists with administrative details of carrying out special events as assigned, including set up for events and monitoring ongoing needs to ensure the success of the events.Performs highly skilled tasks within Microsoft applications such as Word, Excel, Publisher and associated programs to draft, edit, review and prepare correspondence, reports, memos, proposals, grants, forms and other related development documents.Prepares outgoing mailings for development team with the assistance of other team members.Develops and maintains paper and electronic file management for all relevant information such as correspondence and reports.Greets and interacts with students, faculty, other college employees and visitors to answer questions and provide information.Updates and maintains electronic distribution lists.Answers phones and emails and responds to inquiries and/or directs them to appropriate source for resolution.Works closely with the information services staff on requests for computer-generated personnel and student data.Prioritizes multiple project assignments, requiring a high degree of accuracy and efficiency.Evaluates administrative processes and suggests most effective use of available technology to promote increased productivity in the development office.Continually updates skills for increased proficiency on the computer and various software packages.Sets up appropriate computer directories, files, and systems as necessary.Implements and manages regular backup systems for office files.Acts as backup for other employees in the work group as required and performs related duties as required.Other duties as assigned.Minimum Education Required:

As a participating member of the Maryland Retirement and Pension System, HCC offers two retirement options: The Pension, which requires a 7% employee contribution and The ORP, a 403(b) with a 7.25% employer contribution only. Employees in positions that do not require a bachelor's degree must participate in The Pension.
