$48,555General Responsibilities:

Responsible for duties related to managing athletic events and athletic-related activities. Duties include the preparation of the site for home contests, scheduling and training of part-time event staff, knowledge of the entire operation of working and managing athletic events; distribution, collection, and tracking of game equipment; storage of equipment and supplies; interaction with students, coaches, parents, and faculty on event needs. Manage all duties related to the sports information field such as maintaining statistics, website, social media, and live video production. Serves as a resource for college and athletic department policies and procedures. Assist with daily operations of the Athletic and Fitness Center as needed.Work Performed:

Report work orders and follow-up to the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance/Support weeknight and weekend games as determined by the Director, AthleticsAssist Director, Athletics with distribution of all team information including schedule, special performances, and event resultsDevelop, oversee and update department websiteMaintain and keep detailed records of equipment and budgetManage home event operations of scorer tableUse Presto sports to maintain accurate statistics including live stats and report statistics to the NJCAA, Region XX and MDJUCO as bylaws require.Produce live video streaming of home athletic contestsArchive statistical and informational history of the departmentCoordinate social media accounts to reflect desired brand image, including development of press releases and website updatesResponsible for developing game stories and articles highlighting athletes, the athletic department, or teamsDevelop game rosters, schedules, and statistics for use on department websiteReport required information to MDJUCO, Region XX, NJCAA outletsAssist with the development of the media guides and game brochuresRecruit, hire, train and schedule event staff and volunteersAssist coaches with daily operations as neededPerform other duties as assigned by the Assistant Athletic Director of Compliance and Director, AthleticsDevelop recruiting print materials in collaboration with the Office of Public RelationsDevelop game day programs and any programs when hosting region and national eventsAssist the Director of Athletics with the publicizing of athletic events, through various media outletsMinimum Education Required:

Associate's degreeMinimum Number of Years Experience Required:

Bachelor's or four years of related experience required, Master's preferred.Two years of sports-related work experience required.Knowledge of a broad range of sports.Working knowledge of in-game statistical software applications.Knowledge and experience of website content management (i.e. PrestoSports and/or SideArm) and social mediaDemonstrated ability to use Adobe Creative softwareGood writing, research, and analytical skills.Good marketing and public relations skills.Computer proficiency in Microsoft Office softwareOTHER REQUIREMENTS:

CPR, First Aid and AED certification (training provided). Ability to drive college vehicles. Ability to learn new computer skills. Ability to maintain strict confidentiality. Regular attendance is a requirement of this job. Ability to write clearly and grammatically. Ability to deal effectively with and represent the College to a broad range of individuals/groups, within and outside the College. As a participating member of the Maryland Retirement and Pension System, HCC offers two retirement options: The Pension, which requires a 7% employee contribution and The ORP, a 403(b) with a 7.25% employer contribution only.
