Northrop Grumman Mission Systems (NGMS) is seeking a

Supply Chain Planning Specialist

who is experienced in supply chain management and is a motivated self-starter to support the Tactical Fighters Business Unit.

This can be filled as a Band 2 or Band 3 position and will be in Linthicum, MD. This role is hybrid with a requirement to come into the office as needed.

The Supply Chain Planning Specialist's responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Providing support to the program team to evaluate material and equipment requirements throughout the life of the program

Defines and develops material strategy

Candidates must be able to make sound decisions on time, display strong interpersonal skills, and have an agile perspective of compliance protocol mandated by the regulated industry

Responsible for the assessment of supply resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements; plans inventory, distribution requirements, production, material and rough-cut capacity for all products.

Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, manufacturing ramp-up, end-of-life management and product-line management

Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools and NON-MRP tools

Works with MRP and Buyer teams to release purchase requisitions and place purchase orders on time

Receives/reviews requirements for non-standard parts

Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements

Responsible for supply chain metrics:

on-time PR release, on-time supplier delivery, PO placement, updating expected delivery dates

Ensures consistent material finance reporting on program material

Responsible for providing monthly Current Material Estimates (CME's)

Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist 2:

Bachelor's degree with 3 or more years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience; OR a master’s degree with 1 year of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience

Experience working alongside MRP and Buyer teams to release purchase requisitions and place purchase orders on time

U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

Proficiency with Microsoft system application tools (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint) and SAP

Ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight

Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment

Demonstrate success in managing complex problems and driving solutions related to program execution

Preferred Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist 2:

Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Financial Planning

Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and program management

SAP experience

Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist 3:

Bachelor's degree with 6 or more years of supply chain, general business, finance, or sales experience; OR a master’s degree with 4+ years of supply chain, general business, finance, or sales experience

Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment

Ability to work in a team environment while also being able to work independently with limited oversight

Demonstrate success in managing complex problems and driving solutions related to program execution

U.S. Citizenship is required with the ability to obtain a Department of Defense (DoD) Secret Clearance

Proficiency Microsoft Office Programs and SAP (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, Project) and SAP

CAM experience

Experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality

Preferred Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist 3:

Previous experience in Supply Chain, Business, Operations, or Financial Planning

Ability to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and program management

SAP experience

Ability to be agile and work in a fast-paced environment

Salary Range:

$68,800 - $103,200

Salary Range 2:

$84,600 - $127,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.

Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
