Roles and Responsibilities:

Defines and develops material strategy.

Responsible for the assessment of supply chain resources; aggregates and prioritizes demand requirements.

Develops, coordinates, and executes material forecasting and delivery schedules.

Participates in make/buy process, long-term capacity and resource planning; product phase-in/phase-out, end-of-life management, and product-line management.

Lead affordability, cost savings, and/or process improvement strategies.

Analyzes purchase material supply/demand position using Material Requirements Planning (MRP) tools.

Monitors inventory levels based on Bill-of-Materials (BOM) requirements.

Analyzes lead times and identifies critical path procurements.

Supports manufacturing production line, providing planned and unplanned requirements in an expedited manner.

Collaborate cross-functionally with supplier quality, engineering, quality, production, and other support functions.

Evaluating suppliers, addressing supplier capacity and/or production issues, and noting key performance indicators.

Making sound decisions by promptly displaying strong interpersonal skills, and having an agile mindset.

Basic Qualifications for Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Bachelor's degree with 3+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience; OR a master’s degree with 1+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft system application tools and SAP.

Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing and/or repair depot environment.

Understanding of an IRAD/Developmental Program.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (US Citizenship is a prerequisite).

Basic Qualifications for Principal Supply Chain Planning Specialist:

Bachelor's degree with 6+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience; OR a master’s degree with 4+ years of supply chain, material planning, general business, finance, or closely related experience.

Proficiency with Microsoft system application tools and SAP.

Experience and/or knowledge in a manufacturing and/or repair depot environment.

Understanding of an IRAD/Developmental Program.

Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret clearance (US Citizenship is a prerequisite).

Preferred Qualifications:

Proficient in using MRP systems for material and finance data analysis.

Experience with forecasting material receipts and sales dollars into COGNOS.

Experience with Government Programs and FAR/DFAR flow-downs.

Experience managing suppliers through the following: cost/schedule/quality.

Experience managing programs with Earned Value (EV).

Experience with cost accounting management (CAM).

Experience working with microelectronics semiconductor fabrication equipment or the construction industry.

Also requires experience with semiconductor wafer fabrication facilities and operation.

Active Secret clearance.

Salary Range:

$62,200 - $93,400

Salary Range 2:

$76,600 - $115,000

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills, and current market conditions.
