SummaryThis is a National Guard Title 32 Excepted Service Position. This National Guard position is for a Supervisory Supply Technician, Position Description Number D0914000, and is part of the Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF) of the Vermont Army National Guard.ResponsibilitiesThis position is located in the Aviation Materiel Management section of an Army Aviation Support Facility (AASF). Its purpose is to plan, organize, review, evaluate, and supervise the various work processes of the section. The position also provides supply support for aviation maintenance and serves as the property book custodian. Key responsibilities include:Supervising subordinates performing materiel management, resource tracking, and hazardous material accountability.Performing property book operations in inventory and storage management.Establishing quality edit procedures and overseeing the accuracy of documents.Reviewing and analyzing listings and reports produced by the automated system.Coordinating with the United States Property and Fiscal Office (USPFO) for property transfer and reconciliation.Implementing regulatory safety and health requirements.Managing calibration, testing of TMDE, and monitoring tool room operations.Supervising the Materials Examiner and Identifier responsible for the hazardous materials program.May supervise the receipt, storage, transfer, issue, and accounting for bulk petroleum products.RequirementsConditions of EmploymentNATIONAL GUARD MEMBERSHIP IS REQUIRED: This is a Title 32 excepted service position that requires membership in the National Guard. Selectee will be required to wear the military uniform. Acceptance of an excepted service position constitutes concurrence with these requirements as a condition of employment.QualificationsBASIC REQUIREMENTS GS-08:

Experience, education, or training in operations concerning supply actions. Knowledge of basic rules and procedures related to supply transactions.SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE GS-08:

At least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-07 level, demonstrating knowledge of supply regulations and experience in supply operations support.AND SUPERVISORY EXPERIENCE:

Experience managing the function of the work to be performed, including leading and directing personnel.EducationThere are no specific educational requirements for this vacancy.Additional InformationMale applicants born after 12/31/1959 must register under the Military Selective Service Act to be eligible for appointment. Vermont Army National Guard personnel who are bonus recipients may have their benefits terminated if selected as a Permanent/Indefinite Military Technician.
