Summary of Job Duties:The Fiscal Support Manager is responsible for overseeing the operations of various fiscal division programs by establishing work priorities and standards of performance, and supervising staff. This position is governed by Generally Accepted Accounting Principles, state and federal laws, and agency/institution policy.Regular, reliable, and non-disruptive attendance is an essential job duty, as is the ability to create and maintain collegial, harmonious working relationships with others.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualifications:The formal education equivalent of a bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, general business or a related fieldAt least four years of experience in fiscal operationsApplicable equivalencies may be considered on the above qualificationsAt least two years in a supervisory or leadership capacity

Preferred Qualifications:Demonstrated familiarity with University fiscal systems and University policiesExperience with military and industry tuition assistance processing and veteran benefitsExperience processing travel for faculty and staff, state purchase and travel card procedures, and purchase order state and institution requirementsExperience supervising temporary, student, and other employees

Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:Knowledge of staff development and supervision principlesKnowledge of department operations, policies and procedures, and applicable laws and regulationsKnowledge of software application programs, database management, and accounting principlesAbility to conduct research and perform quantitative quality assurance reviews, resolve operational problems, and prepare required reportsAbility to plan, organize, and coordinate activities, resources, and materials associated with the needs of the department or programAbility to plan and direct the work of others

Additional Information:This position is renewable annually based on continued need for the position, availability of funding, and satisfactory job performance.
