Position Description:

The Quality Assurance Manager is responsible for and has the authority for monitoring, recording, reporting and follow-up on specified bottle, label and corrugated requirement in a safe, accurate, and timely manner to ensure reduction of produced defective product and defect-free product shipments. Directs and coordinates activities concerned with development, implementation, application, maintenance and continual improvement of the Food Safety Management System.

Responsibilities:

Responsibility and authority as outlined in the Quality Manual.

Supply agreed upon data and reports to corporate, customers and vendors.

Conduct or coordinate all levels of quality training.

Leader for all ISO efforts for site.

Maintain a program for instrument calibration.

Maintain a timely program for corrective action.

Participate in internal and external audits.

Lead site Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Food Defense efforts.

Responsible for maintaining ISO, OSHA, and GMP standards.

Function within the ISO/Team environment to ensure ISO/BOS compliance.

Oversee development, implementation, review and maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS) and take appropriate action to maintain its integrity.

Lead the development and implementation of Pre-requisite Programs and HACCP Plan when applicable.

Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation & maintenance of the Food Safety Management System (FSMS).

Initiate action for food safety issues.

Oversee development, implementation, review and maintenance of the ISO 22000 System and take appropriate action to maintain its integrity.

Communicate to relevant personnel all information essential to ensure the effective implementation and maintenance of the ISO 22000 System.

Lead the development and implementation of Food Safety Fundamentals and the Food Safety Plan (HACCP Plan).

Management Representative.

Facilitate team meetings.

Demonstrate Leadership and Commitment with respect to the Quality Management System (QMS). Note: Reference ISO 9001:2015 section 5.1.1.

Demonstrate Leadership and Commitment with respect to Customer Focus. Note: Reference ISO 9001:2015 section 5.1.2.

Communicate and Promote Awareness and Understanding of our Quality Policy. Note: Reference ISO 9001:2015 section 5.2.2.

Ensure that the responsibilities and authorities for relevant roles are assigned, communicated and understood within the organization. Note: Reference ISO 9001:2015 section 5.3.

All other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Team Oriented.

Must possess strong leadership and interpersonal skills.

Must possess strong verbal and communications skills.

Must have flexibility of job assignments.

Strong computer skills.

Bachelors Degree; and/or relative work experience.

Submit to and pass background check and drug screen.
