We are looking for a Forklift Lead interested in starting a SWEET career as part of our Warehouse team at PIM's site in Somerset, NJ.

JOB OVERVIEW

Responsible for executing daily functions and projects which involve all materials in the warehouse. Ensures material movements, transfers, and distribution are performed in an efficient and accurate manner. Takes precautions to protect warehouse contents against loss. Retains and reviews warehouse documents and reports. Conducts warehouse operations in accordance with established procedures and policies and keeps the Warehouse Manager informed of Warehouse activities. Completes miscellaneous support functions and supports area personnel as required.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Know and understand safety policies and procedures.

Teach, coach, counsel, and enforce the safety policies and procedures of PIM Brands.

Coordinate all warehouse material management consisting of raw material and packaging.

Schedule work assignments and projects to all warehouse shifts.

Conduct inventory evaluations, cycle counting, and monitoring of inventory.

Report food safety and quality issues to Plant management and SQFP.

Follow PIM Brands GMP rules.

Monitor fellow employees for adherence to GMPs.

Schedule and coordinate vendor inbound materials to Pierce St. & Cottontail locations.

Perform system transfers of materials and put-away.

Receive materials and non-consumables and enter them into the system.

Enforce the implementation of workplace policies and procedures.

Promote and exhibit safe work behaviors.

Coach, counsel, mentor, and train staff in accordance with warehouse policies, procedures, and GMPs.

Resend information on productivity, efficiency, and safety performance to the Warehouse Manager.

Work with other managers and supervisors to improve production output and quality.

Perform other duties as required.

Ability to work additional hours as needed.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS

Standing, walking, sitting, bending, reaching, kneeling, and crouching. Manual dexterity of hands and fingers to handle or feel objects, tools, and controls. Reasonable accommodations will be evaluated and considered to enable an individual to perform the essential job functions. Proficiency in Excel and Microsoft Word is essential.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

Job will generally be performed in the warehouse. When on the plant floor, it is representative of a large, busy manufacturing operation. Noisy, active, with objects on the floor, constant movement, and traffic flow of motorized equipment. Hair net, beard net, assigned work uniform, protective eyewear, and gloves are among the GMP required apparel that must be worn, if indicated, on the plant floor.

EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND TRAINING

High School education or equivalent work experience is strongly preferred.

Excellent leadership abilities.

Able to organize, coordinate, and direct team activities.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Able to read and write English.

Attentive to detail.

Forklift Certified.

Good communication and interpersonal skills.

Able to operate PC and use Microsoft Office Applications: Word and Excel.
