This is an opportunity for professionals looking to advance their career with a global environmental leader, and to make a significant impact in successfully implementing BSI's global strategy.Associate Consultant Responsibilities:Creating/maintaining/implementing IIPP/hazard communication/chemical safety programsConducting accident investigations and creating follow-up responsesPerforming EHS inspections & assessments such as general building safety, PPE, lockout/tagout, confined space, and machine guardingCreating and delivering health and safety trainingDeveloping or maintaining management systemsExpertise and experience in EHS regulatory complianceConduct ergonomic evaluations in office, lab, industrial, health care environments either independently or with support from more experienced consultants, and implement equipment and furniture recommendationsSchedule evaluations and work with client employees directly in a professional manner.Provide employee education and coaching in safe work practices to prevent injury and illness.Support ergonomic program developmentHealth and safety code complianceRegulatory complianceOccupational safety surveys/inspectionsWriting technical reportsEducation/Qualifications:Prior consulting or EHS experienceAbility to develop and sustain customer relationshipsGeneral knowledge of EHSExcellent verbal and written communication skillsAbility to gather and organize data from multiple sourcesAbility to plan and implement projectsProfessional certifications (such as CIH, ASP, CSP, CPE, CAC, or CHMM) desired, but not requiredUnderstanding of health and safety regulatory requirements, specifically Cal/OSHA standards and conducting regulatory compliance auditsWhat we offer:BSI offers a competitive salary, group-sponsored health and dental, short-term and long-term disability, a company-matched 401k plan, company paid life insurance, 11 paid holidays and 4 weeks paid time off.
