POSITION SUMMARY:

The Business Development & Operations Manager position is a newly created role responsible for the development and execution of a business plan that accelerates the company’s growth in the CNG Transportation & Marketing, Field Gas Condition & Compression, and LNG markets. This plan includes identifying natural gas suppliers, equipment providers, and customer segmentation to target priority business segments. Responsibilities include prospecting, acquiring, and maintaining new customers as well as ensuring streamlined processes to maintain customer satisfaction throughout sales and delivery.

JOB DUTIES:

Lead sales and operational efforts and manage the total P&L of this new business segment by executing the approved business plan.

Strengthen existing customer relationships through proactive relationship-building strategies to ensure customer retention.

Collaborate with the company’s transportation and oil & gas field services on opportunities to migrate customers from diesel fuel supply to CNG, LNG, or field gas product supply.

Develop pricing models for products and collaborate with the transportation arm to determine optimum pricing of freight for services provided.

Identify resources needed to provide appropriate services (equipment rental, field labor services) to enhance non-fuel revenue.

Engage with safety resources to ensure compliance with safety requirements and reporting.

Identify and manage subcontractors to supplement service delivery.

Oversee delivery and setup of required equipment, ensuring reliable and safe operations.

Manage the field team providing on-site services.

Provide quality service through daily customer contact including order receipt and problem resolution.

Develop detailed processes to eliminate mistakes and ensure safety.

Manage bid contracts and deadlines for renewals, organizing bids for future reference.

Complete customer quotes efficiently and ensure timely invoicing within 48 hours of ship date.

Prospect new customer opportunities and maintain a detailed list of prospects.

Pursue major account prospects through marketing campaigns while building relationships with key purchasers.

Exceed volume and gross profit objectives through new bids acquisition.

Work with the credit department to maximize account potential within credit limits.

Communicate to resolve delivery issues and prevent future problems.

Work with the supply department to maximize account potential through risk management programs.

Manage complex sales processes by understanding supply and demand dynamics in petroleum markets.

Provide excellent service through clear and professional communication with customers, management, and colleagues.

REQUIREMENTS:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field from an accredited four-year college or university.

Proven success in the Oil and Gas and CNG transportation businesses.

Ability to listen, express ideas clearly, and provide timely information to stakeholders.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to make practical business decisions.

Strong computer skills; experience with Windows, Internet Explorer, and MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

In-depth knowledge of the petroleum industry preferred.
