This position will report to the Director of ATM Programs. He/she is responsible for managing the execution of assigned customer program(s) from sales handover through delivery of the final system and closure of commitment letter items. Responsible for the cost and schedule performance and risk management for assigned programs.In this position, you will coordinate with internal Thales organizations to communicate customer requirements and execute the program with technical accuracy, consistency, and profitability as well as managing the communications and relations with customer/s.Key Areas of ResponsibilityLead customer interactions for the project via direct customer interface.Cultivate and maintain strong partnerships with decision-makers across functional organizations (Procurement, Supply Chain, Quality, Engineering, Technical Publications, Manufacturing, Logistics and Ops Finance) to build and continuously improve process to ensure high quality, on-time delivery and ownership/accountability.Manage the risks with caution and take advantage of internal and external opportunities while respecting the cost objective (assigned costs) and thus the margin.Define staffing, budget, and plans for all aspects of the program, including timetable, workload, risks, and opportunities. Manage the financial aspects of projects including costs, margin, cash, and revenue.Build project schedule and cost baseline and update project forecast regularly (at least every month). Oversee project risks and related action plans.Ability to manage program details while maintaining a “big picture” view of the overall program. Organize the team and delegate tasks to the individuals in charge of the work packages.Minimum QualificationsBachelor’s degree in a related and appropriate field of study with a minimum of 6-8+ years of relevant work experience or a Master’s degree in a related and appropriate field of study with a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.3+ years of experience in the management of development programs - 3+ years of work experience in a technical delivery environment.Solid experience in project management with the US DoD or FAA.Proficient with PM tools – Confluence or equivalent, JIRA or equivalent, MS Excel.Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Must be a US Person as defined in applicable law, or otherwise authorized or eligible for authorization, to access to hardware, software, technology or technical data controlled under the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or the Export Administration Regulations (EAR).Special Position RequirementsTravel: domestic and/or international travel to perform the essential functions of the position; 4 times/year.If you’re excited about working with Thales but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community!What We OfferThales provides an extensive benefits program for all full-time employees working 30 or more hours per week and their eligible dependents, including the following:Elective Health and Dental plans.Retirement Savings Plan with a company contribution and a match, and without vesting period.Company paid holidays, vacation days, and paid sick leave.Company provided Life Insurance.Why Join Us?Say HI and learn more about working at Thales.This position will require successfully completing a post-offer background check.
