The City and County of Denver offers a competitive salary commensurate with education and experience. The salary range for this position is $89,144 - $147,088. This on-site position is based out of Denver International AirportMonday to Friday, 8:00am to 5:00pmDenver International Airport is a 24/7/365 team operation. If staffing challenges arise, weather conditions warrant, or an emergency crisis occurs, all DEN employees will be required to work extended hours and/or alternative shifts (includes nights, weekends, and holidays)Schedules are subject to changeWhat You’ll Do

Develop and refine project scopes for capital improvement initiatives, ensuring alignment with department and organizational objectives.Analyze project feasibility through detailed data collection and research, including cost estimates, timelines, and resource requirements.Collaborate with stakeholders to define project boundaries, identify potential risks and mitigation strategies, and establish clear success criteria.Prepare comprehensive project documentation, including scope narratives, feasibility reports, and technical specifications.Compile detailed project schedules utilizing critical path analysis and project management software.Identify dependencies between project phases and activities, ensuring efficient resource allocation and timely completion.Track program progress against established timelines and budgets, proactively addressing any deviations or challenges.Communicate project updates to stakeholders regularly, ensuring transparency and alignment.Understand project costs with a high degree of accuracy, considering all associated expenses, materials, and labor.Develop and present compelling business cases for capital projects, highlighting potential cost savings, efficiency gains, and return on investment.Define the project's procurement strategy, including selection of vendors, contract negotiation, and risk management.Ensure compliance with all relevant procurement regulations and internal procedures.Proficiency in project management methodologies and software, such as Primavera P6 or MS Project.Strong understanding of cost estimating techniques, including parametric, bottom-up, and top-down approaches.Experience working with financial modeling tools and data analysis software.Familiarity with relevant engineering principles and construction practices.Excellent communication and collaboration skills, able to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a data-driven approach to decision-making.Self-motivated and detail-oriented, capable of managing multiple projects simultaneously.Excellent written and verbal communication skills, able to present complex information clearly and concisely.Performs other related duties as assigned.Any one position may not include all of the duties listed. Education requirement: Bachelor's Degree in Business, Management, Public Administration, or a related field.Experience Requirement: Two (2) years of professional project management experience in the related occupational group including coordinating, administering, and monitoring projects.Education/Experience Equivalency: One (1) year of the appropriate type and level of experience may be substituted for each required year of post-high school education.Additional appropriate education may be substituted for the minimum experience requirements.License/Certifications: By position, requires a valid Driver's License at the time of application.FBI Background Check

FBI criminal background check is required for all positions at Denver International Airport (DEN).
