Senior Manager, Material Supply Planning

Date: Jul 11, 2024Location: East WindsorJob Summary:Responsible for leading the component material supply team to effectively and efficiently manage the purchase plan of the component portfolio required to support the Shiseido Americas’ East Windsor, NJ factory. Responsible for a portfolio of vendors, as well as leading a team of Planners and/or Senior Planners in the successful achievement of key performance indicators including, but not limited to; inventory levels, excess & obsolescence, supplier OTIF, supplier plan attainment and open order accuracy.Primary Duties & Responsibilities:Lead and develop a high performing component material supply team in maintaining material inventory to achieve service and production execution targets.Drive and own the escalation process for material issues.Work in coordination with suppliers and internal procurement to implement service level agreements, material supply strategies and forecast accuracy.Lead the development of existing process improvements, development of new processes and overall analysis of departmental efficiencies to assure all supply chain operational goals are met.Drive ownership and accountability for planning of components through purchase order management, planning process, vendor communication, and overall support of internal production plan.Identify opportunities for continuous improvement to maximize performance through efficiencies, employee development and accountability.Ad hoc duties as assigned.Working Relationships/Key Stakeholders:Finished good planners for production timingS&OP partners for long term planning and customer requirementsQuality team for NCP resolution and guidanceTransportation for coordination of shipmentsNPD for new launches and development of products, new or existingNPC for all new launch project timelinesProcurement on material costing, MOQs, supplier strategiesManage inventory levels & drive reduction of excess & obsolescenceEnsure materials purchase orders are in line with MOQ’s to ensure cost effective purchasingApprove and adhere to purchase order approval process.Document and provide justification/root cause for all material excess & obsolescenceQualifications & Competencies:Minimum of 5 years planning experience in Consumer goods, preferably in the Cosmetics industry.Skilled in SAP software supporting planning activities and other Microsoft applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)Strong ability to focus and manage multiple competing prioritiesCommunicates effectively across all functions and levels.Drive results through commitment to continuous improvementExcellent organizational skillsTrust 8 Competencies:Below is a list of Trust 8 Competencies designed to help employees at Shiseido Americas succeed as the company continues to evolve and innovate.Think Big:
