Facilities Manager

in our Land Systems Division based in Orlando, FL, supporting our Oceanside, CA and On-Base Warehouse locations. You would have an opportunity to join a team that provides the most capable and realistic suite of soldier training systems to the DoD. This position is eligible for Saab, Inc.'s relocation package.The

Facilities Manager

reports to the Director of Facilities and is responsible for managing all facilities activities on-site, supporting the Land Systems Division of Saab, Inc. You will be responsible for providing facilities planning and support for office, warehousing, and test lab operations, including operational and capital financial controls, environmental, health, and safety (EHS), site maintenance, and regulatory compliance.More specific responsibilities include:Lead large facility project planning and development activities including coordinating with architecture/engineering firms in developing design criteria and preparing layout and detail drawings and specifications.Develop and monitor complex plans and schedules for facility projects.Develop/analyze bids for facilities related purchases of goods and services.Establish and maintain the Facilities Operational and Capital Budgets.Provide value engineering expertise overseeing the coordination of the building space allocation, layout, communication services, security, and plans for future expansion/occupancy.Develop policies and procedures for business continuity planning, operational procedures, maintenance of facilities and equipment, and ensure the safety and security of all personnel through standards development.Attract, inspire, mentor, and retain the facilities staff necessary to achieve strategic business objectives and operating goals. This includes coordinating personnel needs with local management relative to the overall needs and budget for the site.Communicate with other facilities leaders and business units in the United States and Sweden to report site progress, support business objectives, implement best practices, and develop future strategies.Manage key facility service and materials vendor/supplier relationships.Drive performance to reach Saab, Inc.'s safety, operational uptime, and budget goals.Support the Contractor Regional Operations Warehouse (CROW) facility operations:Coordinate with Saab CROW Site Leads to ensure buildings provided by US Government are adequate and remain adequate to training needs IAW the coordinated and approved Training Facility Requirements (TFR).Coordinate with on-site US Government facility managers to ensure Saab contractors' needs are addressed in a timely manner.Participate in Site Surveys when new facilities are required. Ensure all facility issues are addressed IAW the Site Survey checklist.Assist in preparation of Site Survey report and TFR.Inspect facilities and identify any issues with facilities provided.Coordinate with IT to ensure appropriate IT equipment is installed and maintained at each CROW.Identify any additional space or facility requirements not previously identified, or that become necessary based on new information. Coordinate with base officials such as the Resident Officer in Charge of Construction (ROICC) to implement needed facility improvements as needed.Compensation Range:

$108,000 - $137,700The compensation range provided is a general guideline. When extending an offer, Saab, Inc. considers factors including (but not limited to) the role and associated responsibilities, location, and market and business considerations, as well as the candidate's work experience, key skills, and education/training.Skills and Experience:Bachelor's degree in Construction/Facilities Management, Engineering, or similar field required. 10+ years of progressive leadership experience with large-scale construction and operations experience.Expert knowledge of local, state, and federal requirements related to facilities design, operation, and maintenance management.Working knowledge and experience with various building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) systems.Forecast resource requirements (people, money & assets) to meet business objectives.Desired Skills:Working knowledge of DoD acquisition process and facility requirements.Working knowledge of contractor operations at DoD managed sites.Experience with ERP, facility, and asset management systems is highly desired.Ability to contribute to the development of site strategy and lead strategic initiatives in support of functional and business objectives.Measure team and process performance through the definition and use of appropriate metrics.Excellent communication and team building experience working in an international environment.Willingness to travel up to 15% in support of facility and corporate activities.Experience working in a matrix organization.Able to obtain a DoD Secret level clearance.Citizenship Requirements:Must be a U.S. citizen.
