Job Summary:

The IT Manager is a hands-on position requiring experience in providing supervision and management of a manufacturing site. This role demands a proactive, "go-getter" attitude, along with a positive work ethic, professionalism, and a strong attendance record. The individual must demonstrate confidence in decision-making and take full accountability for their actions.

The IT Manager is responsible for a combination of systems administration and implementation tasks, including but not limited to imaging, rollouts, Active Directory management, deployments, ERP Support, and overall technical support. This role serves as the primary point of contact for addressing IT issues within the manufacturing facility.

Job Type: Permanent

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per year

Work Hours: 8 AM to 4 PM

Responsibilities:

Monitoring & Maintenance:

Regularly checks and ensures functionality of computers, printers, and other peripherals.

Performs routine maintenance and resolves issues as needed, including service calls for software, hardware, and network issues.

Monitors IT helpdesk requests, maintains the system, and provides detailed documentation on ticket resolutions.

Ensures equipment problems or failures are reported with necessary documentation.

Hardware & Software Setup:

Installs and configures software on desktops and other equipment.

Sets up and installs new IT equipment (computers, printers, network devices, etc.).

Handles Microsoft Active Directory and Exchange accounts (creating, maintaining, and updating).

Manages distribution groups and employee email addresses.

Assists with office setup for new hires and employee role transitions (e.g., setting up desks, equipment, etc.).

User Assistance & Training:

Provides technical support for general software and hardware issues, escalating when necessary.

Assists in providing training for new hires and existing employees on equipment usage.

Acts as a technical resource for equipment maintenance and procurement.

Maintains printers and copiers (including installing toner and clearing jams).

Handles any additional IT projects assigned by the CEO.

Communication & Reporting:

Ensures effective communication regarding IT setups, potential delays, and updates to involved parties.

Submits expense reports within 30 days when applicable.

Keeps a clean, organized work area and documents departmental procedures.

Takes initiative to improve department procedures and maintain a positive, proactive attitude towards company culture.

On-Call Availability:

Acknowledges and understands that the role requires 24/7 on-call availability for emergencies.

Qualifications:

Minimum 5 years of experience.

Skills:

Managerial skills.
