SummaryYou will serve as a Manager in the Product Support Branch; Integrated Training Systems Division of NAVSURFWARCENACT DAM NECK VA. If selected, you will serve as the Product Support Branch Head. This position is part of the Warfare Centers Personnel Demonstration Project. NT-06 is equivalent to GS-14/15.

ResponsibilitiesYou will be responsible for managing civilian employees of various engineering and technical backgrounds supporting deployment and sustainment of U.S. Navy surface shipboard and shore-based integrated training systems. You will manage the branch and provide leadership and supervision to approximately thirty scientists, engineers, and technicians either directly or through subordinate Group Leads.

You will provide high-level leadership for pursuing new initiatives and programs consistent with the organization's mission. You will be responsible for accomplishing the mission (including product development and process improvement) of the branch and for managing the resources and administrative systems. You will provide high-level representation externally with customers and others, and participate, as required, in various division and department activities.

You will be responsible for the full range of personnel matters including hiring, performance development and evaluation, training, recommendations for promotion, and other personnel actions.

RequirementsConditions of Employment

Qualifications:

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the NT-05 (GS-13/14 equivalent) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector conducting engineering technical work for the development, integration, test & evaluation, installation, or sustainment of Department of Defense (DoD) combat systems or integrated training systems.
