And under this roof, we protect what matters most.Team or Function OverviewGAF is looking for a Supply Chain Procurement Intern who will support the Procurement Team in sourcing, negotiating, and procuring Raw Materials. The intern will gain practical experience in supply chain management, vendor negotiations, data analytics, and procurement strategies.SummaryThe intern will join the Residential Procurement team and work to enhance procurement systems and processes that bring value to the customer while supporting GAF’s profitability. The Supply Chain Procurement internship will have split responsibilities in day-to-day procurement processes and project-based assignments to improve efficiency and service.Essential DutiesSpecific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:Assist with Procurement Processes:

Support the procurement team in procurement activities.Assist in the preparation of procurement contract negotiations.Help maintain and update supplier information and procurement records.

Supplier Management:

Communicate with external suppliers and internal stakeholders as needed.Assist in evaluating and selecting suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery performance.Help resolve issues related to deliveries, invoicing, and payment discrepancies.

Data Analysis and Reporting:

Assist in analyzing procurement data to identify trends and opportunities for cost savings.Prepare reports on procurement activities and supplier performance.Support the team in monitoring inventory levels at plants and terminals.

Process Improvement:

Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance procurement efficiency.Provide suggestions for improving procurement policies and procedures.Engage and integrate with all areas within the Supply Chain and other departments to ensure successful project implementation.
