Friday, October 4, 2024Segra is seeking an experienced and strategic Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our executive team. This position can be located within Segra’s footprint, preferably in either Charlotte, NC or Kansas City, MO.The CFO will provide strategic financial leadership and guide the overall financial direction of Segra. This position will oversee all financial planning, budgeting, supply chain management, and accounting practices. Working closely with the CEO and other senior leaders, the CFO will ensure financial strategies are aligned with company objectives, while also managing risk and maximizing profitability.The ideal candidate will be a seasoned financial executive with exceptional business acumen, leadership experience, and the ability to influence decision-making at the highest levels.Responsibilities Include:

Strategic Financial Leadership

Develop and implement Segra’s overall financial strategy, policies, and controls.Establish and maintain accounting systems and processes to ensure financial accuracy and compliance.

Budgeting & Financial Reporting

Lead the company’s budgeting process, analyze financial performance, and present comprehensive financial reports.Work closely with leadership to manage expenditures and align budgets with business objectives.Monitor economic and market conditions, providing insights into their impact on Segra’s financial policies.

Market & Acquisition Analysis

Act as the primary spokesperson for Segra in financial markets, including bond financing and interactions with key analysts.Analyze acquisition opportunities and provide recommendations for growth initiatives.Build and maintain a close relationship with the parent company and report on significant business initiatives.

Supply Chain Oversight

Oversee supply chain management policies and ensure smooth and efficient flow of equipment, parts, and services.Monitor inventory levels and ensure cost-effective procurement practices.

Qualifications:

BS/BA in finance or accounting (or equivalent experience required).At least 15+ years of progressive financial experience, with 10+ years in a senior leadership role.Proven experience in general management or operations, with a deep understanding of P&L responsibility.Strong strategic thinking, financial acumen, and ability to anticipate risks and outcomes.Proven ability to develop and implement financial strategies aligned with business goals.Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to influence decision-making at all levels.Strong leadership abilities, with a track record of delivering business results and managing high-performing teams.Excellent analytical, planning, and people management skills.Ability to travel up to 30% to various Segra locations for meetings and team collaborations.SEGRA is committed to being an equal opportunity employer.
