Position Summary
SeamonWhiteside is in search of an ambitious, talented, and licensed professional to serve as a Survey Team Leader in our growing Charlotte, NC office.
SW+ is seeking a licensed Survey Team Leader that will focus on the fundamentals of land surveying as well as SW+ general standards. This role contributes and supports the survey team in day-to-day field operations, such as planning and reviewing Tree & Topographical Surveys, As-built Surveys, Record Drawings, Boundary Surveys, ALTA/NSPS Land Title Surveys, deed and plat research, and perform field work as needed. As a Survey Team Leader you will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of surveying projects, from fieldwork to data analysis and reporting.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
Bachelor’s Degree preferred
Licensing:
North Carolina Professional Land Surveyor License (PLS) required
Experience:
10+ years of progressive experience in land survey field operations and land survey office operations
Essential Job Functions
Lead a team of surveyors to ensure efficient and accurate data collection
Oversee all aspects of field survey operations, equipment setup, and quality control measures.
Ensure all safety protocols and regulatory requirements are followed at all times
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients for the survey division in this region
Address client concerns, and provide exceptional customer service throughout the project
Proficiency in surveying equipment (specifically Trimble equipment), TOTAL STATION, GPS, GIS and Civil3D
Manage survey data processing workflows
Provide training, coaching, and professional development opportunities for team members
Manage Surveying team budgets and lead land surveying projects from initiation to completion
Promote a culture of safety awareness and ensure compliance with health and safety protocols and regulations
Relevant knowledge of FEMA floodplain mapping and state specific surveying requirements
Conducting precise measurements and assessments of land/properties
Desired Skills
Drone piloting experience
Ability to traverse outdoor environments
Knowledge of plant/tree species
Coordinate team building events for team members to participate in
Foster a collaborative and cohesive team environment
Valid NC Driver’s License
