Systems Manager
to join our team of construction professionals based out of
Salt Lake City, UT .The IT Systems Manager is responsible for overseeing the organization’s IT systems, including critical hardware, software, and cloud services. This role includes managing a team of highly motivated individuals and requires a collaborative approach to manage the installation, configuration, and maintenance of systems, as well as troubleshoot and resolve technical issues. The IT Systems Manager ensures system reliability, planning, coordinating, security assurance, and efficiency around IT-related activities to support the organization's goals.Experience/Training:Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field5+ years of experience in an IT management or a related role.Relevant certifications (e.g., ITIL, PMP, MSCE) are a plus.Critical Skills:High level of ethics and confidentialityComprehensive understanding of technical environmentsExcellent problem-solving and decision-making skillsStrong understanding of networking & security principlesStrong communication and interpersonal skillsProven experience in project management and team leadershipExcellent attention to detailDuties, Responsibilities and Expectations:Ensure the availability of enterprise systemsSupervise System Administrators and ensure their responsibilities are completedTroubleshoot IT systems effectively and efficientlyFacilitate routine system checks to identify potential issuesOversee operating system, software, and hardware updates for servers and workstationsCreate and update documentation for Moves, Adds, and Changes (MACs)Provide end-user support for computer hardware and software issues via phone, email, text, and other communication methodsPerform training on hardware and softwareManage backup technologies for the infrastructureSupport current policies and procedures with impeccable ethics and confidentialityMaintain system standardsIdentify opportunities for increased efficiency in procedures and operationsCommunicate with all levels of management, office, and field personnelProvide real-time reporting to management on current issuesTravel as needed to remote offices and job sitesWork with vendors on integrations and implementations of new hardware and softwareEnsure appropriate staffing for system administrationBenefits:Big-D pays for
