The Plant Manager will provide overall leadership and direction to the plant site. Will be accountable to plan, lead and manage efficient manufacturing at the plant site. Lead efforts to deliver results on plant and corporate goals and objectives as well as foster an environment that ensures business is operated within compliance of all state and federal laws and regulations.As a Plant Manager job duties include, but are not limited to, the following:Ensure compliance with applicable Company HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) Performance Standards, as well as applicable acts and regulationsLead and develop a workforce (including the leadership staff) to meet and/or exceed organizational objectivesChampion a culture of engagement and open communicationDirect and coordinate operations resources to ensure customer demands are metDevelop and manage the site budget to include controlling the sites expenditure and assets to achieve financial targetsAlign manufacturing strategies such as cost reductions, productivity improvements, organizational development, and safety performance to meet corporate business strategiesDevelop, maintain, and improve site metrics and processes using progressive manufacturing methodologiesChampion the development and implementation of organizational and manufacturing efficiency improvementsParticipate (with Product Development and Engineering) in the development of new products and/or production processesActively participate as a member of the Plant Leadership Team in understanding and solving organizational issues, looking at and capturing opportunity for business growth, and working toward a harmonious management of the businessSupports continuous improvement initiatives through active participation, including identification of efficiency and quality improvements in work processes and problem solvingDisplay financial acumen around capital budget, capital expenditure & P&LSalary Range: $170,000/year - $180,000/year plus 20% bonusJob Requirements
As a Plant Manager job requirements consist of, but are not limited to, the following:S. Chemical Engineering is required. M.S. degree or MBA would be a plusMinimum 10 years of experience in the chemical field is requiredMinimum 5 years in a management or leadership capacity in chemical manufacturing is requiredSix Sigma Certification would be a big plusStrong Process Safety Management experience and a solid understanding of site safety procedures and corporate safety philosophyExperience with environmental laws and regulations and able to interact and discuss issues with regulatory compliance officialsAbility to provide direction and coaching to others in an effective leadership mannerPositive attitude, friendly demeanor, and a team player*
