Greensboro Plant Manager

Location : Greensboro, NC

Position Type : Exempt

Overview:

The Plant Manager leads and owns all functions at the plant: Manufacturing, Distribution, Engineering, Maintenance, Quality, Continuous Improvement, and Training. The Plant Manager is responsible for recruiting and leading the workforce, utilizing lean tools and leveraging resources to achieve world-class results. Key attributes of success in the role will include rapid improvement in safety, culture, and employee engagement while driving productivity gains through efficiency improvements, simplification efforts, and supply chain synchronization. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical skills and be clear and decisive on key priorities to drive improvements that lead to overall plant and company success.

Responsibilities:

Drive, model, champion and support desired plant culture of environmental health and safety, continuous improvement, teamwork, accountability and engagement.

Develop strategies and prioritize for self and direct reports.

Analyze, decide and communicate priority actions to drive improvement in key focus areas of safety, plant culture and productivity.

Lead/participate in practical problem-solving methodology to define and resolve process breakdowns.

Develop and implement robust operational processes and standard work to further mature a lean management system.

Supervise direct reports' performance and the performance of their teams, demonstrating recognition programs and supporting behavior modification.

Coach, motivate and develop managers, teams and individuals through effective individual development plans, training, empowerment in challenging opportunities, trust, and rewards and recognition.

Lead plant operational budget development and ongoing spend performance.

Qualifications:

10+ years of manufacturing leadership experience in all operational functions of manufacturing.

Demonstrated experience delivering results as a Site Manager with total site responsibilities.

Demonstrated leadership, interpersonal, communication, and teambuilding skills.

Demonstrated ability to understand manufacturing, business processes, and systems.

Proven excellent presentation, organizational, analytical, written communication, and verbal/nonverbal interpersonal skills.

Demonstrated ability to effectively and proactively interact and communicate with all levels of the organization, fostering an environment of trust, open communication and ownership.

Strong leadership in a Lean/Continuous Improvement environment.

Ability to plan and execute multiple projects/activities.

Safety leadership experience.

Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience (preferably Engineering or Technology oriented).
