Open Until FilledPosition Information:UCR's department of Sponsored Research & Programs is in need of a Contracts and Grants Lead, to administrate and supervise center, program and complex grant projects, including providing support and assistance to UCR's School of Medicine. The C&G Lead will perform high-level budget/resource analyses and internal fund auditing utilizing robust analytical tools. The C&G Lead will assist with financial administration of grants, respond to recipients concerning grant and budget revisions, and assist Principal Investigators with the financial aspects of grant administration.This is a hybrid position, requiring 3 days on campus / 2 days remote.The full salary range for the Contracts and Grants Lead is $81,500 - $150,100 annually. However, the expected pay scale for this position is up to $115,000 annually. We base salary offers on a variety of considerations, such as education, licensure and certifications, experience, and other business and organizational needs.Applicants must have current work authorization when accepting a UCR staff position. Functions independently and proactively with decision-making responsibility to provide comprehensive administrative and budgetary support to principal investigators (PIs) and manage the coordination of program development activities for the School of Medicine (SOM), inclusive of highly complex programs involving large and/or multi-institutional collaborations. The C&G Lead will perform high-level budget/resource analyses and internal fund auditing utilizing robust analytical tools. The C&G Lead assists with financial administration of grants, responds to recipients concerning grant and budget revisions, and assists PIs with the financial aspects of grant administration. Tracks and reconciles expenses for complex program and Center projects. The individual is responsible for overseeing operational aspects for pre-award services related to Center and program grants. In collaboration with the Director of SRP and SRP leadership team, the C&G Lead will ensure pre- and post- award compliance with federal and state policies and regulations.Additionally, the C&G Lead oversees a team of junior analysts, providing leadership, mentorship, and training to ensure the effective management of grant-related tasks.
