CONTINUOUS IMPROVEMENT MANAGER(AEROSPACE/MILITARY MANUFACTURING INDUSTRY)PRIMARY FUNCTION:

The CI Manager is responsible for managing continuous improvement activities through the development and implementation of lean tools based on customer requirements, ensuring benefits in safety, quality, costs, deliveries, and inventories are obtained. Promoting continuous improvement in all departments using the tools and processes established in Eaton's policies.Change agent plant-wide, executes and deploys the Eaton Lean Six Sigma (ELSS) initiatives. Coordinates the Kaizen Events in the site as well as the continuous improvement framework (CIF). Guides the team through the Operation Assessment (OpA) and leads the deployment and applicable execution in the plant for the Eaton Business System (EBS).ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Lead the Eaton Continuous Improvement Framework (CIF) deployment (visual controls, process standardization, leader standard work, Gemba walks, manning strategy, daily accountability, process checks and CI for everyone).Lead the strategy to implement lean tools in the site (Value Stream Map, 5S’s, Kaizen, Set Up reduction, Cost Outs, Error Proofing, Pull System, standard work, Total Productive Maintenance, etc.).Champion the ideas programs from the promotion, evaluation, and facilitate the execution as well as recognition to the submitters.Develop the strategy to review the Key VSM’s and develop new ones including the strategy for the following steps to an Ideal status.Perform and coordinate Kaizen Events from the VSM output to maintain the lean tracker and choose quarterly the best Kaizen in the plant.Maintain the Lean council at the plant from meetings and gather teams to get results.Champion the 5S’s internal Audits program.Keep informed the site through an annual calendar about the following Audits/Assessments: 5S, OpA, EBS, etc.Coordinate the selection of critical equipment and processes plant-wide with the Engineering, Manufacturing & Supply Chain Departments accordingly.Support the MESH Initiatives and Zero accident culture.Provide training in basic and advanced Lean Manufacturing techniques.Document and keep updated the documents related to the Lean Manufacturing department.Promote a cultural change towards continuous improvement.Coordinate Kaizen events and ensure the closure of actions derived from them.Implement and generate cost reduction projects through the use of Lean and Six Sigma tools.Responsible for the strategy of the improvement ideas program.Training and support of leaders in carrying out standard LSW works.Active participation in VA/VE projects.Lead the strategy to achieve the Cost Out goal and generate the budget for cost savings.Analyze financial information in search of savings opportunities.Meet the objectives established in the CI vision of the Aerospace group.Fill out and monitor the actions of the Lean Board.Lead strategy for internal and divisional Poka Yoke competition.Lead meaningful participation in the CI Award annually.SPECIALIZED KNOWLEDGE:

5 years of experience in manufacturing engineering in the same industry field.Bachelor’s degree in Electromechanical or Mechatronic, Industrial or Mechanical Engineering.Proven and solid experience in Solid Works and AutoCAD.Experience in designing and implementing fixtures.Green Belt certification (desirable).Cost Out projects experience.Lean manufacturing experience (VSM, TPM, 5S, SMED, Poka Yoke, etc).Statistical tools knowledge (Six Sigma).Problem-solving techniques (5 Why's, 8D's, etc.).Ergonomic Knowledge.Project management knowledge.ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
