$78,550-$92,300SUMMARY:The Procurement Content Manager is a member of the NASPO Professional Development team. This position is responsible for providing procurement expertise in the development of research and educational resources, eLearning courses, and live-online trainings through NASPO’s professional development program. This includes collaborating with staff researchers, instructional designers, and other members of the Professional Development Team to create content for courses, trainings, and research products.DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:Provides expertise and support to all program areas in procurement content development including Research and Innovation, Procurement U, Academic Affairs, and Conference Programming.Leads and supports content development for Procurement U online courses and live trainings as assigned.Assists with creating engaging activities and content to enhance learning for trainings and online courses.Conducts research to ensure curriculum content is accurate and consistent with best practices.Leads and supports the facilitation of live-online/blended instructor led trainings.Develops and contributes to NASPO publications, including blog articles, toolkits, and other work products.Maintains knowledge of issues impacting the NASPO membership and procurement profession.Develops and maintains research, data, resources, and information for the association.Responds to internal and external requests for information and expertise.Provides pre-conference support in the development of relevant and engaging programming.Attends and supports the delivery of NASPO Conferences and Events.Conducts presentations at NASPO and strategic partner conferences.Provides public procurement expertise and support to staff in developing research work products and deliverables.Applies project management best practices to ensure successful and timely completion of project deliverables.Provides excellent customer service to association members.Communicates and collaborates regularly with supervisor and other staff.Performs other related duties as assigned by management.SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:This job has no supervisory responsibilities.QUALIFICATIONS:Requires a Bachelor’s degree.Four or more years of experience in public procurement. State procurement experience is preferred.Certified Professional Public Buyer (CPPB), Certified Public Procurement Officer (CPPO), or other public procurement or contract management certification a plus.Ideal candidate should be knowledgeable and passionate about public procurement issues.Knowledge of national procurement and/or supply chain management best practices.Strong communication skills, including professional writing and presentation skills.Project management skills; highly organized and detail oriented.Ability to manage time and complete project goals on deadlines, with or without direct supervision.Ability to work well individually and in a team environment.Strong customer service orientation and commitment to association values.PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:Air travel and overnight stay for multiple days will be required 8-10 times per year. Occasionally required to stand, walk, and climb, balance, bend, stoop, kneel or crawl. Continually required to sit and utilize hand and finger dexterity. Continually required to talk or hear. While performing the duties of this job, the noise level in the work environment is usually quiet.
