is to raise philanthropic support for university goals and priorities that benefit our students, faculty, this campus and ultimately, the state of North Carolina.The Assistant Director is responsible for serving as a liaison with the assigned College/Unit (College of Agriculture and Life Sciences). The position will be the annual giving fundraising advocate, resource and expert for assigned college while maintaining a strong working relationship with associated staff.Duties and Responsibilities:Provide strategic direction and planning for growing the annual giving program.Act as the top annual giving fundraising advocate for the assigned college/unit.Manage and execute mail, email and web solicitations.Integrate college’s messaging within university-wide fundraising campaigns.Maximize return for NC State Day of Giving for the college.Perform copywriting for fundraising communications.Work with marketing and communications staff for asset deliverables.Utilize data to enhance marketing efforts.Serve as the primary point of contact for the college.Follow emerging trends in annual giving marketing strategy.Assist in the planning of annual solicitation programs.Attend a variety of events throughout the year.QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:

Bachelor’s degree and one year of professional-level experience in direct solicitation/fundraising.Other Required Qualifications:Ability to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.Demonstrated project management and organizational skills.Strong written and verbal communication skills.Working knowledge of Mac OSX and Windows.Required License(s) or Certification(s):A valid North Carolina Driver’s License is required.NC State University is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
