ELPHD advances education through scholarship, leadership, and advocacy. Faculty prepare counselors, educational leaders, and workplace professionals committed to improving education through applied theory, rigorous research, professional ethics, and data-driven best practices.The Department seeks an exceptional candidate for a tenure-track appointment at the rank of associate professor in the Community College Leadership program area. This position provides focused leadership and support as program director for the Ed.D. program in Community College Leadership. Key responsibilities include:Maintain and provide evidence of a record of scholarly research, publication, and externally sponsored work with a focus on community colleges.Lead program meetings, maintain agendas and minutes, and communicate with program faculty.Represent the program faculty as the liaison between the program, the Director of Graduate Programs, and the Department Head.Develop courses for the Ed.D. program in community college leadership and contribute to program design and evaluation.Chair and serve on dissertation committees in the Ed.D. program.Teach hybrid, face-to-face, and online courses.Effectively recruit, guide, and advise graduate students in the Ed.D. program.Provide collaborative leadership to advance student success in research and scholarship.Contribute to departmental, college, and university missions through research, teaching, and service.Engage in collaborative curriculum design and mentor doctoral students.Collaborate with the Belk Center for Community College Leadership.QualificationsMinimum Education and Experience:A doctorate in higher education or a related area with an established record of scholarship and research.A minimum of five to seven years of scholarly evidence related to community college leadership.A minimum of five years work experience in higher education or community college settings.Other Required Qualifications:Experience with program coordination, curriculum development, and mentoring early career faculty.Ability to guide doctoral students through the dissertation process.Commitment to interdisciplinary collaboration.Plan to maintain a record of scholarly research and publication.Trained in research methods, including quantitative and qualitative methods.Ability to obtain large funded research as PI or Co-PI.Experience working with community college faculty, staff, and/or students.Job Open Date:
