Position Title : Associate or Full Professor (Ed Leadership; Higher Ed Admin)Responsibilities :

The University of Louisiana at Lafayette (UL Lafayette) invites applications for a tenure-track faculty position as an Associate or Full Professor in the Educational Foundations and Leadership (EDFL) Department within the College of Education and Human Development. EDFL primarily offers graduate courses leading one to earn either a master’s or doctoral degree and offers two foundational education courses being offered to pre-service educators at the undergraduate level. The Ed.D. program is the largest in the state and university, offering 4 educational concentrations for students (K-12 leadership, higher education leadership, curriculum development, and exceptional learners) with the higher education concentration being the largest enrollment. Position will remain open until a successful candidate is hired.The start date for this 9-month position (potential for summer employment as well) will be August, 2025. UL Lafayette is an R-1, state-supported institution of higher education offering a variety of undergraduate and graduate programs. The institution is the largest of nine universities in the University of Louisiana system with an enrollment of approximately 19,000 students. Located in Lafayette, Louisiana, which is approximately 1 hour from the state capital of Baton Rouge, the city is a growing and thriving community.

Duties and Responsibilities:Teach doctoral-level courses (face-to-face; 2/2 load) in an executive format (classes held 1 weekend/month during the semester) to Ed.D. students primarily pursuing a concentration in higher education administration; advise students; serve as dissertation chair and/or as a dissertation member on student dissertations; participate in and actively produce scholarly activity/research; and provide departmental, college, university, and professional service.Rank and Salary:Tenure-track Associate or Full Professor. Salary range is competitive and commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Qualifications:

Earned doctoral degree in Higher Education Administration, Higher Education Leadership, or closely related field is required.A past work experience where one has taught graduate students and established a research agenda that would warrant appointment at the associate or full professor level is required.Experience chairing dissertations and/or serving on dissertation committees is required.A successful interview and teaching/research demonstration is required.Experience teaching graduate students in higher education administration or higher education leadership courses is preferred.Professional work experience as a higher education leader/administrator is preferred.Application:Send letter of application indicating the rank of interest along with justification to support the appointment at that rank; curriculum vita; and name, address, email address and telephone numbers of five references through submitting a formal application through the University’s human resources website for this posting.
