Summary of the position:
The Supply Chain Manager leads a team responsible for the sourcing and delivery of all the materials and services necessary to support the Telesis factory(s) production and aftermarket operations. This group is responsible for local and international sourcing and procurement activities in support of the Global Supply Chain. The Supply Chain Manager will also have critical input in supplier selection for the company through purchasing council and supply base consolidation and assessment.
In addition to procurement responsibilities, the group also oversees the material planning process. It controls the material planning parameters in Syteline (SAP) and updates them accordingly to strike the proper balance between inventory levels and production requirements. Manages the on-time delivery (OTD) and quality level of incoming materials working with in-house warehouse management and quality. The Manager will work very closely with Manufacturing and Materials Planning teams to make sure that we minimize all shortages on the shop floor. Monitoring the flow of incoming material, processing jobs, and expediting material are included in the daily activities. This position also manages Quality notifications and invoicing issues for resolution. The Supply Chain Manager helps develop core supplier relationships with a mandate to meet organizational standards in respect to quality, service and best commercial value. This role is responsible for policy compliance for the acquisition of all goods and services within Telesis.
This position is located at the Telesis manufacturing plant located in Circleville, Ohio, and reports to the Director of Operations.
Duties and responsibilities:
Lead a team that performs local and international sourcing and delivery
Manage the planning and delivery of raw material in support of production
Ensure execution of delivery from suppliers to support the production schedule
Analyze and improve existing processes, systems, practices and procedures
Develop individuals and team to enhance performance
Execute the process of obsolescence on a yearly basis
Ensure compliance to company and governing policies for the procurement of goods and services
Communicate part status to internal production stakeholders
Directly manage supplier delivery on critical path items
Manage working capital with supplier deliveries, inventory management and supplier payments
Engage Engineering to develop design solutions that support delivery and cost initiatives
Work with other Telesis business units on alignment of procurement and sourcing strategies
Manage and develop appropriate relationships with suppliers to maximize value to the business
Assist with establishing Accurate Syteline (SAP) Planning Parameters and Material Replenishment Strategies
Daily Supplier Management and Communication to support production requirements
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Education
BS Degree or equivalent work experience, preferred
Professional experience
10 years’ purchasing, planning or supply chain experience within industrial manufacturing
Knowledge of MRP system(s) (Syteline/SAP) and Microsoft Office applications
Excellent verbal and written communication skills a must
Ability to manage multiple priorities, adapt to changing business conditions, and work well across all levels of the organization
Ability to creatively solve problems

Strong interpersonal and active listening skills
