The campus is located in Bellingham, Washington, a coastal community with a commitment to inclusive success and transformational education.About the DepartmentThe Counseling & Wellness Center supports Western's mission to facilitate student success and psychological well-being through culturally sensitive clinical services, outreach, and consultation.About the PositionThe Assistant Director of Clinical Operations oversees the provision of direct clinical services to students and serves as a member of the management team of the Counseling & Wellness Center.Position Duties and ResponsibilitiesClinical Service (40%):

Provide culturally informed, time-limited clinical services, triage, diagnosis, and intervention in mental health crises.Administration of Clinical Services (27.5%):

Oversee clinical service demand, staffing, and ensure adequate clinical coverage.Office Administrative Activities (10%):

Participate in CWC administration activities including meetings and check-ins.Other Duties (less than 5%):

Provide consultation and outreach to facilitate student development.Support Activities (12.5%):

Maintain accurate case documentation and coordinate treatment with professionals.Consultation and Training Activities (10%):

Consult with staff and trainees about student mental health issues.Required QualificationsFully licensed as a mental health professional in Washington State or eligible for licensure.Minimum of five years of post-graduate experience as a clinician.Minimum of two years of experience involving supervision of staff or clinical service delivery.Demonstrated strong leadership and communication skills.Competency working with multicultural and diverse populations.Experience providing risk assessment and crisis response.Preferred QualificationsExperience working in a college or university counseling center.Ability to provide therapy in a language in addition to English.Experience conducting psychological assessments and providing gender-affirming care.Conditions of EmploymentAll employees must comply with immunization policies and provide proof of Rubeola Measles Immunity within 60 days of hire.Application InstructionsA cover letter and resume are required and should address your experience related to the position responsibilities and qualifications.
