We are seeking a dynamic and dedicated professional to join our team as the Assistant Director of Student Success Programs.

The Assistant Director of Student Success Programs will play a pivotal role in developing, implementing, and managing initiatives that enhance student success and retention. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for student development. The Assistant Director will work closely with students, faculty, and staff to create and sustain programs that promote academic achievement, personal growth, and holistic development.

Key Responsibilities Include:

Teach a minimum of 3 sections plus more of Learning Strategies courses in the academic year, as well as summer and Winterim terms as needed. Responsible for continued course revision based on evolving trends in the field as well as student need.

Coordinate programs and support for students on Academic Probation, which includes supervising and mentoring undergraduate Peer Academic Probation Mentors and coordinating, revising, providing support for, and overseeing Academic Success Coaching program. Develop and refine training and continuing education materials for university faculty and staff who participate in the Academic Success Coaching program. Provide ongoing support for Academic Success Coaches throughout the semester.

Hire, onboard, train, supervise, and, as needed, release student employees who support Student Success programs. Develop and refine training and continuing education materials for student employees that support Student Success Programs.

Collaborate with Director of Student Success and other stakeholders across the university to program and maintain internal student success alert system. Monitor student success alert system daily to check that daily updates are successful.

Assist in preparing and presenting reports on program outcomes and recommendations to university stakeholders.

Qualifications:

Minimum of Master's Degree or eight years of experience in area of responsibility or related area.

Ability to provide pedagogical leadership to faculty and professional staff.

Commitment to individualized instruction and experience teaching students and supportive assistance programs required.

Excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.

Ability to work collaboratively with diverse populations and build strong relationships with students, faculty, and staff.
