The Illinois Department of Children and Family Services is seeking an organized, professional, and results-oriented individual to serve as Associate Deputy Director of Intact Family Services. Subject to management approval, this position will oversee, coordinate, and provide direction for the implementation of special projects and program initiatives issued by the Deputy Director. The position will also serve as liaison with leadership, private organizations, other state agencies, and the general public regarding Intact Family Services and will plan and direct special programs as assigned. This position provides a great opportunity for someone who is passionate about children and interested in being a leader in the administration of Intact Family Services. Serves as Associate Deputy Director of Intact Family ServicesServes as liaison with leadership, private organizations, other state agencies, and the general publicPlans, develops, and directs special Department programs as deemed necessary by the Deputy Director and Chief Deputy DirectorServes as full line supervisorReviews all OIG recommendations and audit responses relative to Intact Family Services to make recommendations regarding needed action and appropriate response to correct areas of concernPlans, manages, and coordinates evaluations of Department and/or service provider programs and servicesDrafts suggested policy guides, procedures, standards, and other rule-related documentsPerforms other duties as required or assigned which are reasonably within the scope of the duties enumerated aboveMinimum Qualifications

Requires an MSW or master’s degree in a related human services field, in business administration, or a juris doctorateRequires four years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with an MSW OR five years of progressively responsible administrative child welfare experience with a master’s degree in a related human services field, in business administration, or a juris doctoratePreferred Qualifications

5 years of professional experience managing or conducting child welfare casework services4 years of professional experience in the oversight of a social work program4 years of professional experience in the development and implementation of policies and procedures4 years of professional experience conducting program planning activities on a statewide basis4 years of professional experience in the development of strategies for the improvement of program services4 years of professional experience serving in a liaison capacity for a public or business organizationConditions of Employment

Requires completion of a background check and self-disclosure of criminal historyRequires ability to travel in the performance of duties, with overnight stays as appropriateCertain provisions of the revolving door restrictions contained in 5 ILCS 430/5-45 apply to this position.
