Position SummaryWe are looking for an effective Distribution Center Manager to direct receiving, warehousing, anddistribution operations. You will oversee the efficient receipt, storage, value-adding servicingand dispatch of a wide variety of products. This role will ensure productivity targets are achievedand that all distribution processes run smoothly and promptly.

Primary Responsibilities

Liaise between subordinate staff and senior management to ensure organizational goals and objectives are effectively communicated and met.

Determine capacity requirements/restraints and outsourcing needs.

Provide continual coaching to employees engaged in order fulfillment and distribution, including staffing requirements, employee evaluations, training, and support. Serve as mentor, leader and team builder.

Oversee budgeting and administration of assigned operational functions within approved parameters and consistent with corporate objectives.

Support the Inventory management processes and procedures as established and conduct routine audits to ensure compliance.

Oversee all administrative processes in support of Facility/equipment management and maintenance in accordance with prescribed service/security parameters.

Help to create a culture of safety and service and ensure compliance to the workplace safety standards, policies, and procedures always.

Maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local laws and regulations with respect to labor, occupational health and safety, environmental, and financial controls.

Qualifications

Applicable Bachelor’s degree plus 3 years of relevant experience in a distribution center environment; combination of education and professional experience.

Extensive supply chain process expertise including inbound receiving, storage, retrieval, shipping, transportation, etc.

Excellent organizational and management skills include the ability to effectively prioritize tasks, assign responsibilities accordingly and lead a diverse distributed network across the country.

A background in safety knowledge, including OSHA requirements and emergency training is preferred.

Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills.

Strong computer and technology skills to include a proficiency in MS Office applications.

Strong executive presence and successful track record of partnering with senior leadership while delivering superior results.

Extensive knowledge of material handling challenges and opportunities.

Passion about delivering on commitments, being action-oriented, having an intense performance orientation.

Preferred Lean/Six Sigma Green Belt or higher; demonstrated experience in applying process improvement methodologies in a distribution environment.

Key Objectives

Maintain On-Time Shipping % of 99% or higher: (Orders printed at DC by noon local time ship same day).

Maintain Shipping Accuracy of 98% or higher: (Accurate Orders/Total Orders).

Continuous improvement of internal customer satisfaction as measured by employee surveys of DC performance (performance, response, courtesy).
