Regional NAMTS Coordinator

who will be key support to providing administrative and execution support for the Navy Afloat Maintenance Training Strategy (NAMTS) Program. Also proving guidance at their parent NAMTS Training Maintenance Activity (NTMA) and other NTMAs within their geographical region if no Regional NAMTS Coordinator (RNC) is assigned.This position is in Pearl Harbor, HI.Job DescriptionOn-Site Regional Maintenance Center/Area of Responsibility (AOR) NAMTS Support for the Commander, Navy Regional Maintenance Center (CNRMC).Support local Navy Afloat Training Activities (NATAs), if no Afloat NAMTS Coordinator (ANC) is assigned to AOR.Conduct United Services Military Apprenticeship Program (USMAP) and JQR indoctrination, including an overview of all components and benefits of the NAMTS program for NTMA leadership and NAMTS candidates.Organize and facilitate NAMTS training and waterfront-level presentations/engagement events at their RMC/AOR.Provide administrative, technical, process improvement, and analytical support for the NAMTS program for their respective Regional Maintenance Center (RMC)/Area of Responsibility (AOR).Evaluate information to provide waterfront and program level recommendations and lessons learned/best practices to the NTMA, CNRMC, Project Management, and Technical Support team.Enroll and track progress of NAMTS candidates within the RMC/AOR.Maintain historical records, Job Qualification Requirements (JQR) feedback reports, and lessons learned at their assigned RMC/AOR.Analyze project information to identify trends and opportunities for improvement, and develops recommendations accordingly performs analysis and identification of root causes, process/policy issues, to identify key issues to be addressed/developed and implemented or monitor changes at the RMC/AOR level.Apply scientific, mathematical, operations design techniques and/or other data collection methods to obtain quantitative, rational, basis for data analysis in support of creating metrics reports for RMC/AOR and CNRMC.Communicate with multiple RMC/AOR stakeholders and CNRMC to communicate program level concerns.Apply continuous process improvement to all tasks.Seek out and communicates Project Team feedback.QualificationsBA Degree and at least 4 years in related experience or Associates and at least 8 years of relevant experience or High School Diploma or equivalent and at least 10 years of technical or operational experience.Must have Navy shipboard experience, RMC/Shipyard operational or production experience.Must possess knowledge of the workflow process associated with ship maintenance, lifecycle management, and availabilities across multiple ship classes.Must be familiar with U.S. Navy ship maintenance procedures, policies, and execution.Must have communication skills (written and oral); able to effectively interact with customers and associates at all levels of the Chain of Command.Must be detail oriented and efficient multi-tasker, able to learn new tasks and concepts quickly, and able to work in a fast-paced environment.Must be self-motivated team player but able to work independently.Must be proficient with Microsoft Excel, Word, and Power Point.Desired QualificationsPrefer at least 10 years’ experience within a Shore Intermediate Maintenance Activity (SIMA), Supervisor Ship Building (SUPSHIP), Intermediate Maintenance Facilities (IMF), RMC or Non-Nuclear Afloat Maintenance Department as a supervisor in charge of scheduling, training, and quality assurance (QA) of Sailors that perform I-Level shipboard maintenance and repair on engineering, deck, combat systems and/or C4I equipment. Applicants must possess all the stated experience and credentials prior to being hired.Security RequirementsMust be eligible to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Security clearance.Travel RequirementsOccasional travel-less than 10%.If position requires travel by domestic flight or access to secure federal facilities/military bases, candidate must be able to obtain and maintain appropriate identification credentials, such as REAL ID.Physical RequirementsMay require working in an office, industrial shipboard, or laboratory environment.Remaining in stationary position often standing, or sitting for prolonged periods, moving about to accomplish tasks, or moving from one worksite to another.Light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds.Valkyrie strictly adheres to a policy of equal employment opportunity.Please note: The annualized pay range referenced is a general guideline.
