The Early Onset Cancer Program is a newly developing program at Yale Cancer Center and Smilow Cancer Hospital focusing on a series of broad goals related to younger patients (ages 18-49) diagnosed with cancer: addressing psychosocial needs, developing novel clinical care models, enhancing clinical trials, expanding research, and raising community awareness about early onset cancers. A central role in this program is a navigator/coordinator who will help guide patients through the oncology care system. Given the transdisciplinary and integrated nature of this program, the program manager will support the vision of Drs. Giri and Borstelmann, ensuring projects move forward as planned and addressing issues as we implement across departments and disciplines.Essential DutiesOversees the advancement and growth of the program, ensuring accountability for disseminating and publishing program information.Works closely with leadership and community residents to develop and implement strategic plans.Identifies and cultivates community partnerships to assist in the program's growth.Assists in identifying funding sources and contributes to grant submissions.Develops the administrative infrastructure of the program, managing human resources and administrative functions.Implements systems to gather, track, and report information to support program initiatives.Manages program communications and promotes collaborative support.Performs other duties as assigned.Required Education and Experience : Minimum requirement of Bachelor’s Degree in a related field and four years of related experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.Required Skills/Abilities:Strong written and verbal communication skills.Capacity to manage coordination with key stakeholders.Strong organizational skills for tracking program activities.Ability to work independently and take initiative.Ability to work with research teams to promote innovative discoveries.Weekend Hours Required? : OccasionalEvening Hours Required? : OccasionalDrug Screen : NoHealth Screening : NoBackground Check Requirements : All candidates will be subject to pre-employment background screening.COVID-19 Vaccine Requirement : All faculty, staff, students, and trainees are required to comply with COVID-19 policies.Posting Disclaimer : This job description is a representative summary of essential functions and should not be construed as a declaration of specific duties.EEO Statement:
