On-sitePosition Focus:Manages tennis facility in addition to servicing facility users. Acts as a main point of contact for all activities in the tennis center including open recreational hours, varsity matches and tournaments, and rentals. Complete oversight of tennis match/tournament management; managing casual wage employees and student staff. Lead liaison for athletics facilities for the Yale Bowl Complex in addition to the tennis center. Coordinates with Yale facilities and users on service requests, vendors, and general facilities improvements/maintenance. Manages the electronic membership system in conjunction with the POS company to adapt programming to organizational needs.Essential Duties:Plans and manages the scheduling, logistics, and operations of all events and programs for the facilities.Responsible for the management of special event and facility rentals.Serves as the Facilities Event Manager for all large rental events and assigned intercollegiate events.Estimates budget requirements for assigned areas.Plans and schedules all maintenance and repair work for assigned facilities.Coordinates the use of assigned athletic facilities for summer camps.Develops and implements facility policies regarding safety, security, liability, maintenance, ADA, budget, and personnel.Required Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree in a related field and three years of related experience or equivalent combination of education and demonstrated experience.Required Skill/Ability 1:Effective written and oral communication skills.Required Skill/Ability 2:Proficient in computer operation and Microsoft Office and Excel. Ability to learn membership program.Required Skill/Ability 3:Ability to coordinate set-up and breakdown equipment for matches, tournaments and events.Required Skill/Ability 4:General understanding of tennis rules and match operation.Preferred Education, Experience and Skills:At least 1 year of demonstrated tennis and facilities management experience preferred.Weekend Hours Required?
