Your JobAre you looking for a unique supply chain opportunity supporting Rail Logistics? Koch Inc. is seeking a Procurement Analyst that will support railroad logistics. This role adds value supporting the best possible freight solutions that meet our service and cost competitive needs. As a member of this team, you have the opportunity to interact with businesses across Koch Industries and External Customers to identify and implement rail logistics solutions supporting the organization.Our TeamThe Transportation Procurement team is responsible for understanding shipper requirements and proactively and strategically engaging our carrier partners to deliver mutually beneficial and advantaged solutions. The scope of this role is primarily rail, but will interact with domestic surface modes, including Dedicated Truckload, One-Way Truckload, Intermodal, Flatbed, LTL, Expedited, Bulk, and more. The Transportation Procurement team is a part of KBX Logistics, a third-party logistics and assets management provider, which is a subsidiary of Koch Inc. The Transportation Procurement Team manages over 100,000 rail carloads annually, supporting 165 rail served locations, both within Koch Industries and external customers. We partner with all Class I railroads and many smaller railroads.What You Will DoCollaborating across departments on transportation opportunities and reconciling issuesRating discrepancy research & resolutionLoss & Damage Investigation and Freight Claim ResolutionFuel Surcharge & Accessorial AdministrationTrip & Rate Data Quality ManagementPricing Document Support to include documenting SOP and workflowsEnsuring accurate and up-to-date pricing information is maintained in company systemsWho You Are (Basic Qualifications)Experience working in a procurement or logistics or supply chain positionExperience using Excel to create pivot tables, format data and conduct VLOOKUPsExperience documenting standard operating proceduresWhat Will Put You AheadExperience working in a cross-functional organization and collaborating across teamsExperience in rail pricing, fleet management, maintenance, operations or equivalentExperience with using large data sets for decision-making, reporting, and presenting to stakeholdersExperience working and supporting the Rail Logistics IndustryExperience leveraging data tools such as Tableau, Microsoft Access, or PowerBIAt Koch companies, we are entrepreneurs.
