Lockheed Martin is seeking a Supplier Quality Engineer (SQE) for a position based in Arlington, TX to support the THAAD production program.

The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States. The THAAD program team provides a challenging environment that stresses continuous improvement and proactive mindset in driving down risk to the product and customer.

In this role, you will use quality metrics and business analytics tools to monitor the program’s value chain and provide guidance for recommended support or improvement initiatives.What You Will Be Doing

The responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Identification of process variation, sources of waste and nonconformance's, and data analysis techniques to create innovative solutions to complex supply chain issues.Assurance that LM THAAD Supplier Quality activities are effective through supporting product line validations as outlined by AS9102, accurate measurement and characterization of resultant performance parameters, and risk management.Provide systemic support for issue resolution that involves true root cause, full containment, and corrective/preventive actions.Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs, and program management activities.Drive supplier's failure/diagnosis and strong grasp of Material Review Board (MRB) activities.Develop technical solutions to complex problems and provide liaison support related to quality engineering matters.Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis.Review documentation related to supplier manufacturing processes to ensure quality products are delivered to the customer.Excel within a multifunctional supplier Integrated Product Teams with reviews of quality data on yields, rework, scrap and non-conformance aging.Basic Qualifications:

STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above.A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Specifications, Contracts that will enable development and review of SQE Processes, and related Performance Metrics.Must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective action.Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes and auditing/surveying capabilities.Ability to focus on continual improvement practices using causal analysis tools to drive corrective and preventive actions.Extensive experience in disposition of non-conforming products.Demonstrated experience in establishing Performance Metrics for identifying process improvement.Proficient skill level with Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.Strong communication skills (both oral and written) will be necessary to support the assignment and weekly reports.Must be able to multi-task, meet deadlines and to support all supplier quality field engineering activities.Ability to obtain a secret clearance.Ability to travel.Desired Skills:

Demonstrated experience in project management from idea creation, to team involvement, thru execution and closeout of actions.A basic understanding of the MFC SAP and P2P business systems.ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt).Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements.Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers.Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems.Demonstrated Leadership, Customer Relationship Management skills.Background of Structures, Propulsion and/or Electrical components.Security Clearance Statement:

Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.Work Schedules:

Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed.
