Johnson was a pioneer in oncology nursing research, whose theory of self-regulation focused on stress and coping with physical illness for cancer patients.The key requirement for this position is an outstanding record of research excellence and national prominence, ideally with a proven track record of securing NIH funding and a productive and sustained research focus in oncology. By joining our dynamic team of scientists and clinicians at the School of Nursing and Wilmot Cancer Institute, the appointed professor will contribute to our collective mission of pursuing excellence in clinical and scientific learning, discovery, and nursing care within an environment of diversity and inclusion.In addition to maintaining their own research program, the successful candidate will play a pivotal role in cultivating and expanding our cancer nurse research group.
