Position OverviewThe Branch Manager is responsible for the oversight and coordination of the daily operation of a master distributor warehouse to assure maximum productivity, quality and accuracy of shipment to customers.
Responsibilities
Responsible for oversight of the shipping and receiving of new products, customer’s deliveries, lead scrap, and warehouse transfers
Monitors warehouse inventory and product orders
Supervises battery warranty processes and procedures
Manages customer complaints/concerns
Schedules truck deliveries and coordinates activities with other shipping points
Assures the proper and safe operation of all equipment including trucks and forklifts
Follows quality system procedures
Supervisory Responsibilities :
Supervise several direct reports
Evaluate performance, provide feedback, and complete annual performance reviews
Successfully manage the warehouse team by exemplary leadership, integrity and character
Build a cohesive, competitive team of leaders with the skills necessary to successfully execute the corporate business strategy
Provide coaching and the feedback necessary for individual and team growth
Support the owning of leadership skills by executing the development plan for each team member
Basic Qualifications
Must be able to provide effective leadership and motivation to the organization while building a teamwork environment
Must take charge and begin incremental improvement without waiting for an ultimate solution
Must be able to stay focused on both the tactical and strategic missions
Must be able to work without close supervision, but have the judgment and temperament to seek review and approval when appropriate
Must have the highest standards of business and personal integrity
Strong customer orientation
Previous profit and loss statement experience
Must be familiar with Microsoft Office Applications
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential
Basic knowledge of Microsoft Applications, especially Word and Excel
Preferred Qualifications
AA Degree (preferred)
A minimum of five years’ relevant experience in transportation/distribution and/or warehouse management
Proficient in English language skills
Bilingual Spanish (plus)
