This position is responsible for the execution and management of various strategic sourcing initiatives including contract management, project management, supplier management, risk management, and compliance monitoring. Position requires collaboration with multiple business units throughout the company and suppliers. This position reports to the Director of Strategic Sourcing.Responsibilities And DutiesAct as a sourcing subject matter expert and liaison between Allied Solutions business unit management, executives, legal, user groups, and suppliers. Act as an ambassador for the department’s value, best practices, and standard operating procedures.Contract Management: Review, evaluate, and establish the most advantageous terms for the company. Negotiate business and legal terms to create a framework to monitor supplier compliance and ensure end-user satisfaction. Monitor contract expiration and establish a short- and long-term strategy for each category spend. Foresee changes in the business environment that impact the company’s negotiating ability.Project Management: Initiation, follow-through, and execution of direct, indirect, and capital expenditure projects. Conduct the Request for Proposal (“RFP”) process and manage the stakeholder committee to ensure success including contract negotiation, company-wide communication, and implementation.Supplier Management: Develop and maintain supplier relationships in an effort to continually increase the supplier’s value to the company. Monitor contractual compliance and ensure end-user needs are being met or exceeded. Manage suppliers through remediation when applicable.Risk Management: Review and evaluate potential risks to the company and develop mitigation plans to reduce or eliminate exposure.Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all policies, procedures, and contracts are compliant with all local, state, and federal laws. Must know, practice, and ensure that company policies and procedures and state and federal laws are followed at all times. Ensure that no company, employee, or customer information is inappropriately divulged to unauthorized parties.Devise and employ sourcing strategies via financial, functional, risk, and opportunity assessments. Analyze current trends and spend to identify new cost savings opportunities. Develop and execute approved plans.Track and report key metrics to reduce expenses and improve effectiveness. Control spend and build a culture of long-term saving on sourcing costs. Design and prepare periodic reports that highlight results of current initiatives and provide cost savings summary.Manage software solutions utilized by the department including system configuration and improvement opportunities.Approve the ordering of necessary goods and services.Very strong written and verbal communication skills. Promote effective communication with all departments and employees within the company as well as suppliers.Practice sound leadership and promote teamwork at all times. Set a good personal example of attitude and performance.Experience And Educational RequirementsBachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, supply chain, or similar field required.Minimum four (4) years of operations and/or procurement, purchasing, strategic sourcing, supply chain experience required.Ability to travel up to 20% of the time.The above statements are intended to describe the general nature and level of work being performed by people assigned to this job.
