With a focus on excellence, sustainability, and client satisfaction, we are seeking a highly motivated and experienced individual to join our team as the Inland Northwest (INW) Water Resources Group Leader.

Responsibilities:

As the INW Water Resources Group Leader, the primary focus for this position will be to grow our Water Resource Practice in the INW Market. The responsibilities for this role will be diverse and will include participating in both business development activities and operational management. Potential office locations for this position are

Boise, ID, Spokane, WA, or Coeur d'Alene . Specific areas of expertise may include:

Fish passage design and geomorphologySurface and stormwater management and planningSurface water facility design (stormwater conveyance, detention/retention basins, culverts)Floodplain management and flood mitigationHydrologic/hydraulic analyses (drainage calculations, scour analyses, floodplain modeling, and floodplain mapping)

Group Leader Responsibilities:Provide leadership and guidance to project teams and staffSupervise delivery of technical work by the INW Water Resources engineering teamEnsure technical resources are available for successful project deliveryAttract, develop, and retain key talent; set expectations and manage performanceServe as a pursuit champion and project manager for Water Resource projectsEnsure excellence in project execution, meeting on-time, on-budget deliverables of excellent qualityReview engineering documents and deliverables for compliance with contractual requirementsCollaborate with Practice and Market Leaders to ensure adequate resources for current and upcoming projectsPartner with water resources-focused staff for employee development and career growthWork with Market and Practice Leaders to achieve key performance and financial metricsAdhere to firmwide tools, processes, and policies, including project accounting, contracting, and quality requirements

Basic Qualifications:15+ years of experience related to water resources projects5+ years managing or being the water lead on projectsProject experience with local and state agenciesRegistered Professional Engineer in Idaho or WashingtonStrong written and verbal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:20+ years of experienceExperience working with Departments of Transportation, local public works departments and flood control districts, and other local, state and federal regulatory agenciesCertified Floodplain Manager (CFM)Proficient in common engineering software packages, including: Microstation OpenRoads, Autodesk Storm and Sanitary Analysis, Civil3D, CivilStorm, StormShed, MGSFlood, SMS/SRH-2D, HEC-RAS 2D, HY-8, ArcGIS, and Excel
