This position serves as a Realty Specialist in a Bureau of Land Management office in the following locations: North Bend, Roseburg, Salem, and Springfield, OR. The employee is responsible for exercising independent technical expertise in a variety of routine and non-controversial land and realty transactions.

Salary Range for North Bend, Roseburg, and Springfield, OR:GS-07:

$49,025 - $63,733GS-09:

$59,966 - $77,955

Salary Range for Salem, OR:GS-07:

$52,734 - $68,556GS-09:

$64,504 - $83,854

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

To be considered minimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required specialized experience and/or education for the respective grade level in which you are applying.

GS-07:Specialized Experience:

Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing 3 or more of the following:Gathering, analyzing, or processing information on a variety of lands and/or realty actions;Assisting with determining land ownership and status;Assisting in gathering information and/or data necessary to complete environmental reviews from on-site examinations;Engaging with the public regarding non-controversial lands and realty actions.OREducation:

Have one (1) full year (18 semester hours) of graduate level education from an accredited college or university, which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.ORSuperior Academic Achievement:

and meet one of the following:A grade point average of B (3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for your completed undergraduate courses, or those completed in the last two years of undergraduate study;A grade-point average of B+ (3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0) for all courses in the major field of study, or those courses in your major completed in the last two years of undergraduate study;Rank in the upper one-third of your class in the college, university, or major subdivision;Membership in a national honor society (other than freshman honor societies) recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies.NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

ORCombination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Then divide the total number of completed graduate semester hours (or equivalent) by 18. Add the two percentages. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.

GS-09:Specialized Experience:

Applicants must have one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service (obtained either in the private or public sectors) performing 3 or more of the following:Consulting on routine realty transactions related to lands and realty case work, planning systems, compliance, environmental analysis, budget, or public outreach;Leading or conducting routine on-site compliance examinations on rights-of-way, permits, and other use authorizations;Performing inventory or monitoring budget plan packages of existing realty actions;Preparing responses to routine inquiries concerning use, occupancy, disposal, or other actions on public land.OREducation:

Have a Master's or equivalent graduate degree or two (2) full years of progressively higher level graduate education or a LL.B. or J.D., leading to such a degree from an accredited college or university, which provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. Such education must have provided the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to do the work of this position. NOTE: You must submit a copy of your transcripts.ORCombination of Education and Experience:

A combination of education and experience may be used to qualify for this position as long as the computed percentage of the requirements is at least 100%. To compute the percentage of the requirements, divide your total months of experience by 12. Status merit promotion applicants must meet applicable time-in-grade requirements to be considered eligible.One year at the GS-05 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-07 level.One year at the GS-07 is required to meet the time-in-grade requirements for the GS-09 level.(Must submit your SF-50 that shows Time-in-Grade eligibility and reflects your title, series, and grade. No award SF-50 will be accepted).

One year of specialized experience is equivalent to 12 months at 40 hours per week. Part-time hours are prorated. You will not receive any credit for experience that does not indicate exact hours per week or is listed as "varies".
