Senior Manager, Procurement

is responsible for supporting the direct material strategic initiatives and new product/program development projects at the site, working closely with cross-functional teams to implement cost savings, support new product launches, and mitigate risk to the business.

This is a full-time, salaried position and is site-based. The schedule is Monday - Friday 1st shift.Catalent Biologics in Bloomington, Indiana is a state-of-the-art, GMP manufacturing facility, providing one million sq/ft of drug substance manufacturing, drug product manufacturing, and related pharmaceutical services. This award-winning facility helps customers accelerate biologic drug development programs and bring better treatments to help patients live better, healthier lives.The Role

Identify and support site-level and global procurement initiatives for cost savings, contract opportunities, supplier quality and risk mitigation of single sourced materials.Participate or lead cross-functional initiatives to reduce cost and improve quality for internal and external customers.Negotiate contracts, ensuring compliance with contracts developed locally or globally.Process requisitions and place orders with Catalent Pharma Solutions approved suppliers to obtain materials and services required to support product launches, dual sourcing efforts and cost savings initiatives.Provide support to resolve supplier quality issues and take corrective action.Notify internal customers of supplier change notifications, assume role as liaison with supplier to obtain documents and material required to approve change. Provide frequent updates to stakeholders impacted by change to mitigate supply chain risk.Other duties assigned.The Candidate

Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, engineering, sciences, purchasing, or other operations field required.Master’s Degree, preferred.Minimum of 7 years of purchasing experience.Minimum of 7 years of managerial experience.Experience with global operations finance, and matrix management.Quality, biologics, pharmaceutical or related background, preferred.Strong understanding of pharmaceutical industry and GMPs.Experience demonstrating leadership, change management, strategic/tactical planning, project management, and analytical skills within a dynamic and fast-paced environment.Experience leading cross-functional teams, processes and continuous improvement initiatives.Why you should join Catalent
