Overview

We are looking for an individual with an outgoing personality, who enjoys meeting people, is passionate about selling wine and spirits, has a competitive nature, is organized, task-driven, and wants to expand business. The Wine & Spirits Sales Consultant is responsible for achieving sales and focus brand goals, completing required reports, managing retail POS, and providing excellent customer service.

Primary Responsibilities

Maintain existing accounts by further developing distribution, sales and relationships through product knowledge, presentations, and excellent customer service.Work on building account base by targeting new accounts through cold calls, existing relationships, and research on WSLCB website.Organize sales account calls and time to maximize opportunities.Identify opportunities consistent with the objectives, priorities, and strategies of assigned and new customers.Enter customer orders utilizing proprietary ordering system on your tablet, computer, and/or phone.Reconcile invoices for your customers; turn in invoices and payments to ensure accurate recording and tracking of these documents.Adhere to all company and legal guidelines regarding collection policies and procedure.Print and hang POS (Point-of-Sale) to maximize sales of your retail shelf placements and displays.Merchandise product sections, maintain and increase shelf facings, dust and rotate product, fill cold boxes, and work backstock.Will need to provide your own reliable vehicle for this job.Perform other related duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience in sales and distribution, preferably wine and spirits.Above average knowledge of wine and spirits; industry recognized certifications such as WSET and CMS are desirable.Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.Strong organization, multi-tasking and time management skills.21 years or older.Valid Driver's License, clean driving record and must be able to pass a background check.

Physical Demands

Physical demands include frequently sitting, operating a motor vehicle, walking, bending, reaching, standing, squatting, and stooping. Ability to load and unload up to 65-pound boxes of product, push and pull it up concrete/metal ramps through the back offices and aisles in our customers’ stores.
