Jhpiego is seeking a

Development Coordinator

to work directly support Jhpiego’s philanthropic goals, mission, and plans by managing the day-to-day operations of our individual donor database, developing reports, managing research and processing systems, and assisting with prospect research and qualification.Responsibilities:Database Management & Gift ProcessingServes as the lead expert for Jhpiego’s Raiser’s Edge databaseDaily management of accurate and complete gifts and constituency recordsAdministers reporting tools and pledge reminder schedule for all contributed giftsRecommends, develops, and manages campaign and appeal codes to systematically organize gifts and constituents in the databaseProperly maintains soft crediting standards and relationship recordsCreates and manages clear protocols for constituency recordsSupports development team commitment to data integrity, understanding and education, and adherence to data protocols and standardsMonitors actions to support overall fundraising effortsMaintains and updates a systems and gift processing manualEvaluates the design, selection, and implementation of database changes by comparing them with business requirementsEnsures confidentiality of constituents’ information.Processes gifts in Raiser’s Edge including matching gifts, pledges and pledge payments, and event sponsorships.Ensures that cash receipts, stock, bequests, and in-kind gifts are recorded and acknowledged in a timely manner and coded accurately.Reporting & AnalysisOrganizes queries and develops data reports on a regular basis and upon request.Prepares acknowledgement reports for the Senior Development Coordinator.Maintains a cumulative report of gifts and donors, shared on a weekly basis with the development team.Generates donor activity reports.Ensures appropriate and adequate queries for development functions, including, but not limited to newsletters, invitations, mailings, and eblasts.Reviews presentations, manuscripts, graphs, and tables to ensure accuracy and quality.Reconciles philanthropic revenue in collaboration with the Development team.Produces donor lists for publications.ResearchLeverages research tools like Research Point, WealthEngine, and Donor Search to integrate large data sets into the database.Sources new data to input into Raiser’s Edge from various research tools and public records.Assists in developing meeting briefings and donor research profiles in collaboration with the Senior Development Coordinator and Director, Individual Philanthropy.Researches new donors’ wealth indications and giving history to identify major gift potential.Systems ManagementSupports the daily integration and processing of gifts from Luminate Online into Raiser’s Edge.Utilizes peer-to-peer fundraising software, Team Raiser, to create and maintain online fundraising platforms.Tracks special event contributions where applicable.Oversees the integration of new technologies and initiatives into data standards and structures.Assesses system performance and making recommendations for hardware, software, and data storage improvements.Supports data integration into events and peer-to-peer fundraising activities.Special Skills, Knowledge & Abilities:In-depth understanding of modern database and information technologies, particularly Blackbaud products like Raiser’s Edge and Luminate Online.Advanced Microsoft Excel capabilities and experience with other Microsoft Office programs (Word, Teams, Outlook).Experience in non-profit fundraising office supporting direct mail and direct response programs.Experience leveraging donor research tools (like Research Point, WealthEngine, Donor Search) and recognizing donor potential.Ability to analyze, interpret, and organize large amounts of data.Ability to compile and organize findings and data retrieved before presenting it to management.Excellent communication skills to translate complex problems using non-technical terms.Experience developing reports and analyzing data.Exceptional attention to detail, logical reasoning, and organization.Ability to multitask and prioritize requests from multiple colleagues and departments.Excellent math, problem-solving, and analytical skills.Minimum Qualifications:High School Diploma/GED.Three years related administrative experience.Preferred Qualifications:5+ years of relevant experience.Classified Title: Development CoordinatorJob Posting Title (Working Title): Development CoordinatorRole/Level/Range: ATO 37.5/02/OEStarting Salary Range: $40,164 - $53,553 Commensurate with ExperienceEmployee group: Full TimeSchedule: Mon - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PMExempt Status: Non-ExemptLocation: JhpiegoDepartment name: 60000069-Global Engagement GECOPersonnel area: Academic and Business CentersTotal Rewards:The referenced base salary range represents the low and high end of Johns Hopkins University’s salary range for this position. Not all candidates will be eligible for the upper end of the salary range. Exact salary will ultimately depend on multiple factors, which may include the successful candidate's geographic location, skills, work experience, market conditions, education/training and other qualifications.
