''Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” is looking for an

Associate Producer

with exceptional editorial skills, strong news judgment, a demonstrated expertise in covering politics and policy, as well as strong tape, digital and social skills.

Job Duties:Work with editors and graphic artists to produce packages, including the broadcast Open, edit tape elements and develop graphicsGenerate and pitch show ideas, program guests and franchise segmentsProduce political panelGather sound and assist with ''Meet the Press'' interview elements and spotsProduce guest research and write questions for ''Meet the Press'' moderatorShoot and edit stories for digital and social platforms, and elements for broadcastEdit show promos, early release clips and other show franchisesIdentify top news-making moments for NBC News affiliatesTrack competitionAssist with show archivingEdit and socialize breakout clips for social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and meetthepress.comAssist with podcast production for audio projectsQualifications

Minimum of 3 years of experience in news productionAt least 3 years of tape, field and editing experienceBachelor's degree and/or equivalent experienceMust be willing to work in Washington, DCMust have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United StatesMust be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule and evenings and holidays as requiredDesired Characteristics:Exceptional editorial skills and strong news judgmentA team player with excellent communication skillsExtensive knowledge of and demonstrated passion for politics and public policyStrong writing and research skillsCreative, independent thinking skillsStrong shooting and editing skillsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailAbility to perform well under pressureCreativity and a desire to experiment with new editorial productsAdditional Requirements:Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.This position is eligible for company-sponsored benefits, including medical, dental and vision insurance, 401(k), paid leave, tuition reimbursement, and a variety of other discounts and perks. Salary range: $65,000 - $80,000Additional Information
