Job Description
''Meet the Press with Kristen Welker” is looking for an
Associate Producer
with exceptional editorial skills, strong news judgment, a demonstrated expertise in covering politics and policy, as well as strong tape, digital and social skills.
Job Duties:
Work with editors and graphic artists to produce packages, including the broadcast Open, edit tape elements and develop graphics
Generate and pitch show ideas, program guests and franchise segments
Produce political panel
Gather sound and assist with ''Meet the Press'' interview elements and spots
Produce guest research and write questions for ''Meet the Press'' moderator
Shoot and edit stories for digital and social platforms, and elements for broadcast
Edit show promos, early release clips and other show franchises
Identify top news-making moments for NBC News affiliates
Track competition
Assist with show archiving
Edit and socialize breakout clips for social platforms, including TikTok, Instagram, and meetthepress.com
Assist with podcast production for audio projects
Qualifications:
Minimum of 3 years of experience in news production
At least 3 years of tape, field and editing experience
Bachelor's degree and/or equivalent experience
Must be willing to work in Washington, DC
Must have unrestricted work authorization to work in the United States
Must be available to work Saturdays & Sundays as part of the regular weekly schedule and evenings and holidays as required

Additional Requirements:
Hybrid : This position has been designated as hybrid, generally contributing from the office a minimum of three days per week.
