Job Responsibilities

The role will plan and manage, align and integrate various projects across the commission. This role will be accountable for project management within the Program and Project Management Office assessing impacts, mitigating risks, and ensuring leadership is continuously informed throughout a project lifecycle.Responsibilities include:Design and coordinate an implementation plan with end users, team, and other stakeholders.Demonstrate expertise in creating and maintaining project deliverables such as project charter, project plan, status reports, project timesheets, estimates, communication plan, reports, risk management plan, budget (work hours and cost), milestone/deliverable charts.Manage issues, scope, and quality while bringing projects to successful completion within cost and time requirements.Demonstrate expertise in teambuilding and leading teams.Demonstrate exceptional decision-making, organizational, and time management skills.Demonstrate competencies in project management with application development and deployment projects.Manage the design, development, and implementation of integrated solutions with both onsite and offsite resources.Coordinate with multiple vendors to establish work efforts, maintaining an overall project plan.Provide periodic project updates and analyze specifications to ensure business objectives are met.Oversee Unit and Integration Testing and support System and Client Acceptance Test efforts.Work with other team members to understand functional and technical requirements and identify and resolve issues and risks.Understand potential different implementation options, weigh them for best course of action, and recommend the best sequence and project methodology (traditional vs. agile).Determine goals and priorities with management and key stakeholders, project sponsors, and delivery managers.Negotiate the performance of activities with team members and their managers.Manage and communicate a clear vision of the project’s objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them; create a project environment that enables peak performance by team members.Prepare project plan and obtain management approval.Analyze risk, establish contingency plans, and identify trigger events and responsibility for initiating mitigation action.Track and report on progress to plan, cost and schedule reporting, and change control.Manage relationships with project stakeholders, including internal and external clients and vendors.Involve functional expertise and specialists in design reviews and key decisions.Manage change to preserve business plan commitments.Skills

Strong leadership, administrative and organizational skills.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.Ability to make presentations to both technical and non-technical audiences.Ability to assess and course correct problem projects.Experience

B.S. in MIS, Business Administration, or related field. 5+ years of Professional Project Management experience (PMP certification preferred). 7+ years of managing Information Technology related projects using formal project management methodology, techniques, and tools; proficiency with Microsoft Project required. Familiarity with information security projects and resources preferred. Diverse experience with information technology projects including Infrastructure, Info Security, Customer Care Billing, and Applications.Education

B.S. in MIS, Business Administration, or related field.
